Is it possible to hunt elk each year as an AZ resi?

Hasn't one of the old guys here drawn like 30 tags in a row for 22? His name escapes me at the moment?

    The Afro Buck

That deer can pee anywhere it wants, use it's safe place and have a free phone! If shoot it twice.

Private Wells (And whats in them)

Arsenic is in evry water source in AZ. I haven't tested mine in 5 years but arsenic was 15ppb with no other contaminants. I'm 330' down and in 100' of water. I forget the well gpm but my 5 gallon dog water bucket fills in 30 seconds. So 10gpm from a 3/4" hose bib. I used 2" pipe from my pressure tanks to the house then ran 3/4" trunks and 1/2" branches to common fixtures. Seems to have plenty if volume and pressure. My parents were on a community well and a test showed dangerous arsenic levels. The well manager "water company" had filters installed at the kitchen sink in each home but said it was ok to shower, brush teeth, laundry, and bathe in it. Not sure about live stock. About a year later they were told the water was fine and no filters needed. Not sure if the filtered at the well site or fixed the water?

How old were you when you started hunting big game?

I bet at 2 you where 4 foot tall with a beard haha! I don't know if I actually remember or if I remember because I've heard the story.

    The Afro Buck

I was thinking founding fathers in the English wigs. I would shoot it in a heart beat! It's not a producing buck being taken and I'm sure the meats as good as any other. Added bonus is it's really unique and not everyone has one.

I was with my dad at 2 when he shot a deer (first memory I think I have of hunting) I was too busy watching snow flakes while he was trying to teach me how to field dress.

took hunters ed at 9 and my sister was 11. She met her first boyfriend in class and I got to tag along to the movies with them. Jurassic park haha! At 11 my second tag, dad and my uncle got pissed cause I wanted to go trick or treat. They got me home by 7pm and everyone had already gone out. Looking back I wish I wasn't a little sh!t that day.

    What suspension's on yer Tacoma

I'm gonna assembly them myself at the 2nd setting for the 3ish" lift. But if you get them preassembled you get a new upper rubber and plate for the 100 bucks, not a bad deal. I'm gonna do it myself so I can get just enough lift to to fit the next size tire. Honestly I would not want to raise or change factory ride height. If I could put a flat bed on it and cut the front fenders to add tire height and keep a low center of gravity I would. But I need the bed, for now.
  12. Phoenix guys doing way better than us near Tucson! Congrats! Was hoping the storms south would stop or slow the migration. I guess we're just not in a main migratory path this year.

    What suspension's on yer Tacoma

So my suspension kit shipped today. Haven't been driving it much since I know the front struts are bad. Oh and that pesky little rear spring recall that can break, puncture your gas tank and blow up lol!! Either way, got the springs for the recall ordered (6 weeks out they say) driving home tonight my left front strut snaps at the eyelet! I knew they were done but never saw that coming. Thank god for loaner cars at work. I guess I'll put the front on, go to the dealer for the rear, then back to work to put my add a leaf in. First world problems!

    remove/treat rust

0000 steel wool or a product at harbor freight called evapo rust. That stuff works good on anything

Using a bow during the general season

Do what you want, just don't use a rifle during archery season. I know more than a few guys that put in for rifle hunts and take their bow first. Also know a few handicap guys that use cross bows in archers and rifle season. Your tag man, use it how you want.

    Roughest Road Ever?

in 27?Yes, but after you get past the ranch is where I remember it getting rough. going down river it changes every year (depending on what the river does) the road from Dix creek to the lion shack and down rattle snake can be rough. Haven't been on it in years though.Yup that's where I'm talking about. Going down the back side of Dix across over to Rattle snake.Used to have some really good hunting back in there. Still does I guess, you just have to get further in. what we call he!ls hill is off that road. Walked in there one year and killed 2 coues at the top. Both 4x4. Before scoring was a big thing but both were over 110" from what I remember. After the hunt while they were hanging in a tree for the ants and such to clean the skulls some dogs or something took both the skulls and we never found them.

I never cook all my straps at once and I always save some for camp the night before the next years hunt.

The rear leaf TSB is an adda leaf and better shocks. Lol do they have to break and bust the gas tank before you can get them? Tucson Toyota dealers are bad with sharing info dealer to dealer. I'm still working with the letter that says my springs break and break my tank then spark on the asphalt and kill everyone!! Or something like that lol. Waiting on the "fix" letter to come in, or a call back. What ever happens first.

    Anyone do blueing in Phoenix?

I've been told if it's pitted then most won't mess with it, also they like to get a few guns together to make it worth mixing up a batch of bluing salts. I'd be curious the answer as well. I cerakoted the last gun I wanted blued but I much prefer a bluing job.

I ordered the bilsteins lift with toy tec springs. Adjustable from 1.5"-3" in the front and a 2" add a leaf in the rear. Now I'm waiting on a call back from the Toyota dealer about the recall/TSB on the rear springs. I haven't been told what the actual fix is? If it's new springs then I asked if they'd put my add a leaf back on. They'll call me back lol.
