What's the trip cost if you don't mind me asking? I know halibut frozen at a store is $18-25 a lb give or take. Seems like 16lbs if fresh fish is worth it (with the experience)

Haven't driven it as far as your planning but when I have (work reasons and hated it!!) I never looked for places to out a trailer. What I saw was limited parking and a butt load of traffic. Maybe a weekday would be best and if you had to sleep in a CVS parking lot then so be it. Sorry I'm not much help
