Mud slinging and accusations is exactly the reason a lot of trophies don't get shared with the site. Many times, when big trophies are taken, we try and acquire permission from the hunter to post a photo or have them share their own story. Believe me, it gets difficult at times. I see photos of more big trophies, of many species, than what appear on this site. Every year.

Great advice.

Super nice bulls! (both of them)

That's a nice platform to build a spray rig on. I'll pass it forward to some of my clients.

Super great bull! That's what dreams are made of right there. Congrats to the guide and hunter.

I have and love my tripod. It's high enough for me to glass standing up even with a Jim White head. It's lightweight and pretty stable with my Duovids. You can find it in the CWT.com store: (click on the link below) http://store.coueswhitetail.com/promaster-xc325c-tripod/

All great advice. Thanks for helping another member out guys. If you want an absolute top of the line caller, contact Healy Arms. They are in Chandler but will sell online. Their calls are crystal clear and LOUD.

Congratulations. You guys did it right and enjoyed your tag. You are right, nothing beats the exhaustion from a successful hunt.

If you are not reloading, you need to find a factory load with a high BC bullet that shoots well out of your rifle. (MOA or better) If you can't find a factory load that does, you may need to address things that may be hindering your rifle from doing so. From the bedding to the trigger to the proper torque on the receiver/bases/rings to a good barrel cleaning. Simply getting a scope that allows you to see farther, doesn't make the rifle a shooter. Once you find a load that consistently shoots tight groups, You will want to find the true velocity by shooting through a chronograph. This allows you to take advantage of ballistics programs to get your bullets drop data for longer ranges. Then, you can start practicing out to longer ranges, and confirm those bullet drops. Getting accustomed to a good shooting position/routine is a smart start. Get familiar with parallax, and get a scope that adjusts for it. In the end, you may end up getting six inch groups or better at 600 yards. Then you know you have done it right, with what you have. Best of luck. It's really fun when you hit what you aim for at longer ranges.

Check the last pages of the "Family Strengths" thread. I remember seeing a newer member post something up. -
Congratulations! Some wide open country.

Holy smokes! You definitely have a great archery hunting spot! Amazing how the bucks feel they need those nutrients when they're growing. The best part for you is, they know where to get them, and you can be there when they go! First the muleys and now the coues! I can't wait for the elk pics!

ROMOCASADOR, Best of luck in finding your girlfriends bull. I appreciate you guys really trying to find him as you know there aren't many bulls like that out there. I can only imagine how your girlfriend feels at the moment. I know you guys will continue your search. Thanks for reaching out to the online community in your quest for a needle in a haystack. Going online with your search is tough in itself as you know you are opening yourself up to ethics questions and comments. What some people have said on this thread is nothing new but I don't think they all meant it in a hostile way. They are simply stating the obvious. It's easy to read differently into their comments when you are so emotional after the roller coaster you guys are on. Keep looking for your bull and I so hope you find it. Let us know. I know that if anyone has read this thread, and finds a bull, you will hear about it. That's the best thing that can happen from you going public like you have.
