NICE!!!

Hope you had a great one buddy.

Good write up. I have never used a trail cam and am envious of those that are successful with their use. The major factor in me not getting one are the thefts so prevalent with these things. The small size and great images from these Covert cameras has caught my eye. They seem to be easy to hide, now are they easy to use? I'm no "computer genius" by any means but do have common sense. I appreciate the time and effort you put into doing the review. I have been contemplating getting my feet wet.

Ain't that the truth!

That's a lot of "firsts"! Great of you to take the time to take such cool pictures also. -
Duwane Adams - ArizonaBigGameHunting.com
Chef replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
I want to chime in here and give my .02 cents. Duwane is undoubtedly the most helpful hunter I know. He genuinely wants everyone to be successful. He is a wealth of information and as nice a guy as you would want to meet. He has some longtime guides that are ABSOLUTE KILLERS of giant bucks. I have personally enjoyed his glassing lessons, full of tips and techniques that will make you more successful in the field. The most important lessons taught are where to look for deer and when to look for them at certain areas. He makes things simple and so easy to understand that they become "second nature". I have friends that have purchased his map service as well. He will give you areas to camp and hunt and gives you case scenarios that depend on weather. He hunts the same areas as well (successfully) so you can feel confident he isn't feeding you bogus info. Top notch camps with comfortable accomodations and food. These guys are consistent killers of giant bucks...period. -
There is nothing better than enjoying that meal and remembering the hunt.

Tim, Cool, I'll give you a holler. I was going to get with you soon anyway since I need to get my big bore over to your buddy at Grizzly Custom Guns for some goodies. Yes, It has clips at the bottom already.

I am looking for someone that has the newer style Badlands pack that has the bow holder "clip on" that attaches to the bottom of the pack. I know they come with the new style 2200 units. The old packs don't have them and well, I want one. I was at an archery shop lately looking for one and they told me Badlands doesn't sell them separately? Thanks for your help!

Looks like they got my letter Keith. You're Welcome.

Much congratulations on a fine buck! Looks like you came and took care of business for sure.

That's pretty cool of your wife to try to surprise you like that. Looks like a really good 200 yard group to me. It's great what a bedding and trigger job will do for a rfle. I'm sure it's happy to have you love it once more. Thanks for sharing.

I've hunted other states where people use llamas as pack animals. The hunters put so much blaze orange on them it isn't even cute. They say they still come up on people at the ready with their rifles from just the noise. Incredible.

Regardless of what brand/power you decide...please do yourself a favor and call Doug at Camera Land like RR requested. You won't find better service and you might surprise yourself with how much cash/tax you can save. I can only give high remarks on the level of service he not only provides his customers, but to all of us here on CW.com CameralandNY is a sponsor of this site, let me know if you have trouble getting in touch.

That's the first thing I thought after I saw the buck...FLAMIN BASES! That's also the first thing I thought after I saw the hunter....no idea. That's one GNARLY buck!

He's a beauty! Congrats to you and your friend!

Kirt Darner sentenced (barely)
Chef replied to Hooked_on_Coues's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
$10K is a small price to pay for hunting big mule deer whenever/wherever you like. I'm sure he's thrilled. -
That's great to hear. I know the service normally has a reputation to be "so-so" with Leica. This definitely gives me a bit more piece of mind. Phil, good luck on your Mexico hunt too. Say hello to Jimmy and tell him we miss seeing him.

Good update Scott. Did you get any pics? Talk to you soon.
