To add to Ernesto's post, Amanda was feeling very bad while in Young today. She was attended by an EMT there and given the option to be flown out to Payson or she could drive to the hospital in Globe. She opted to be driven out. She now wishes she would have been flown out from all the pain she's had to endure. To make a long story short, she is having gall bladder surgery tomorrow. It seems to be pretty severe and I will keep you all posted as soon as I find out anything. In the meantime, please keep Amanda in your prayers as Ernesto has pleaded. Here is to a safe surgery and a quick recovery. I hope you start feeling better soon Amanda. We love you and wish for the very best. Hector

Yo, AZbowhntr! This is the one you need man! This will go right through those nasty thickets in your unit!

Great view. Nice shots too. Ever since Amanda posted pics of your view I was impressed. You know the spot right between the two rainbows? Well, in another galaxy, that's where Josh's avatar dude lives.

Stunning pictures Doug. Looks like a successful trip. My first bull elk was out of the San Juans.

Way to go Amanda! You do a lot to promote the outdoors. There is a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff that you do that deserves an award in itself.

Great post! Nice to reminisce isn't it? Sure beats the heck out of my first!

Gorgonzola cheese and grilled onion venison burgers
Chef replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Cooking Wild Foods
You made my mouth water when you sent me that pic Amanda! For those of you not sure about Gorgonzola, it's what I call a "green" vein cheese as opposed to blue like bleu cheese. (but that's just my take on it, it is actually a blue cheese) I love cooking with it and makes great sauces like Amanda's here. Great for adding to a cream sauce for a pasta for instance, along with some prosciutto! Stuffing a filet Mignon and wrapping it in bacon is a sure crowd-pleaser of mine! I love it's nutty flavor and slight spiciness. If you are not a fan, don't give up until you try it melted or heated up. It takes on an entirely mellow characteristic. I Love It! -
Happy Birthday! Hope today finds you up in the mountains!

Amanda, The new sub forum is a great idea. I know many of us just love to eat and specifically like to try different things. Its going to be nice keeping an eye on this seeing where it progresses.

CouesWhitetail.com on the radio this morning!
Chef replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in The Campfire
That's awesome Amanda! That's great publicity not only for the site but for sports men and women in the state! How did she get wind of it? -
Most users online at one time on CouesWhitetail.com was today! Between the Mullins boys dropping the hammer on that MONSTER BULL, and TAMs 120" sheds that he mounted, everyone sure got the word out! This site has seen quite a bit of traffic and quickly becoming the "go to" site for everything "hunting" in the state! Go Amanda and CW.com!
