Sandhill Crane Article
Chef replied to kpinaz's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I've chased sandhill cranes a few times. It's the only hunt where I actually encountered antis in the field. -
I want to bring this to the top again. I just sent in my Duovids for repair to Leica Camera Inc. In NJ. Packaged them in the original box including a copy of my Passport warranty, a note explaining the issues/work needed with my contact info, and a copy of my purchase receipt from CameraLand. I boxed the package in two boxes and sent it in UPS with insurance. Due to deliver in a week. I will update again when I receive a call from Leica. BTW, I sent these in to fix a chip on an ocular lens and for general inspection/reconditioning.

Amanda checks references and researches before accepting any of our sponsors. She wants to make sure they are solid, reputable, good match ups with cw. I agree, our sponsors are top-notch!

very good advice. Great mounts! I recognize some of the trophies.

I think the scenery is some of the best memories when hunting Colorado. You sure have a little slice of Heaven right there.

Please Welcome Miller's Southwestern Processing!

Welcome! Thanks for the support and I know of many people that have used your services. -
Thanks for the info Ernesto. Yes, those are VERY good prices and a decent chance at a bruiser coues too. To answer your question, we'll be going down probably for BOTH the second and third week in January 2012.

Pretty nice. I gotta wait till I get home to see it on a real computer screen.

Nice work Dale. Thanks for sharing your mounts with us!

Thanks for the update Dale. I'm sure gonna miss the old Antlers bar. I am happy it got rebuilt after the fire though. Looking forward to checking the place out.

Pretty cool! Although I hear that the sheaths start to stink after a while.

Amen Bro!

Very nice cat. Congratulations!

I've already booked for next January! Hoping to find me another nice Coues buck down there and enjoy a relaxing time with good weather, great food, and cold cervezas! Ernesto, what hunt/s do you have available?

My thoughts and prayers are with her and your family.

Congratulations to both of you! Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Great sequence. Someone needs to go in and take out that lion.

Great great post Ty. Thanks for all you do with the awesome kids too. I appreciate and admire people like you that "Walk softly but carry a big stick."

Congrats to all the lucky hunters that drew. The Kaibab is a special place.
-
I wholeheartedly agree.

I will certainly be doing my part and urge everyone to do what they can. Dana was a great man and dedicated hunter. Very helpful and wanted everyone to do well. I shared several camps with him up in the Kaibab and he was a hard working guy. My thoughts are with his family.

I understand completely. What I don't think some understand is that he can and WILL donate to any organization, foundation, group, that he wishes. There are ways to do just about anything with tax write offs, whether you're into art, fast cars, travel, whatever. I want to be very clear, that I understand this. Like I stated before, there are many people that would gladly take his money (donation) and many of these people run outfits that are AGAINST hunting and what we love to do as hunters. On the other hand, here we have a person that chooses to participate in something we all love to do. All the while helping organizations that help wildlife in our own backyard. These auction tag holders are one of us, Hunters and sportsmen.
