Thanks guys. And no. I have not posted any other pic's and these are not the Kachina bulls. I have plenty of pic's of the Kachina bulls and they are pritty tame this time of year and easy to get close to. But they have already been posted. These bulls are a little bigger than the beutifull bulls of Kachina.

Please do! Thank you very much everyone!

Thanks SunDevil. Anyone know where I should look for the eye cups? Were they made by Zeiss

Most Coues stay right where they are at. If a coues is living where the winter will chase him out, Because of where they live they usualy dont have to go more than a mile or two to get down to the desert and out of the snow or to diferent feed. The reason I find fue Coues sheds is couse they are so small. It's much easer to find an elk shed and that can still be hard some trimes.

Hey Josh, did you refresh my salt while you were there? Nice Coues! I look forward to seeing a picture of him in the velvet. On a trail cam or a trophy photo!

Ok guys lets hear what your set up is? I am constantly upgrading my set up, its a slow process with 4 kids and a mortgage. Right now I am using a 7MM RUM with a 26" stainless steel barrell and a synthetic stock. Shooting a 140gr factory soft point. It is topped with a Burris Full Field 2 with the Balistiplex crosshairs. I am using 10x45 Minox binos and a Nicon 15x45 x60 spotter on a Slick tripod. The next thing I will upgrade is the tripod. What are you using?

azbarehunter- Welcome to the site! Is that deer you are saying is an 8 point a 3x3 with eyeguards? In AZ we typically call it an 8 point if it is an 8x8 with eyeguards. If it is an 8 point then you had better post some pictures! You can post some if it is a 3 point as well!

AZ Record Carp Shooter Facing Felony?
Lance replied to BASS's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
All of thoes type of G&F records are available to the public. If you cant find them at the G&F then it is likely just stories. Good luck. -

OH MAN! One coues deer, one badger, several coyotes and a fue jack rabits. Oh man, if the bullet hits any type of resistance, then things will BLOW UP! There is no nice way to say or describe it. Did your dads bullet hit any big bones? Ever see a coyotes head disapear? yes disapear, compleatly. It's a site to ponder on I tell you what. I hit my coues right up the center hole. I guess the presure was to much and had to excape out somewhere. So it came back out the same way. I used a nife to get out the heart and lungs and that was all that was left in there. We will leave out the badger and the jacks. Does that cover your question. the 7mm RUM and the 300 RUM are the fastest things out there past 400 yards.

7 is a pritty good score for a set of 20's. I would love to check out a pair for myself. Does anyone else have anything to say about the 20x80's. Does anyone have a pair in or arround Flagstaff. DBArcher- how much do they weigh?
-
DBarcher, How do you like thoes Cabelas 20x80's? On a scale from 1 to 10 for clearity?

Thanks, nice birds for you to. I had camera truble but I took a bunch of pictures with my friends camera. Maybe I'll get them some day. If it is soon, I will try to put them up.

What an awesome picture Huntscout! Way to capture the light , the shadows and the moment! Weather you ment to or not, good job!

This is a cool thread . I have yet to use my 7mm Rum for the job I got it for. I practiced out to 600 yards and I shot my last buck at 75 yards. Thank goodness for long range coyote practice! I forgot about my Bushnell 800 range finder.

Red rabit Way to hang in there! That is a great buck! What unit was that?
-
Nice bird, congrats! Our camp just got back from NM last week. It was dry, VERY DRY. The hunting was slow at first but we figured them out and came home with a handfull of em' in the end! We were in the Gila. How was the moisture in the Jemez this year?
-
Awesome guys! I forgot to mention that my 7mm RUM was a Rem 700. I have been using comfy camp chairs while glassing from near my truck and have been packing a fome hunting pad to sit on while on hikes. I am gitting too many miles on my body to sit on the ground any more. This season I will be packing a tripod stool of some kind! I have been using an X-Large Cabelas Bow/Rifle Pack. I like it but after 4 hard and abusive years the zippers are starting to have truble. I will get a pair of 15's some day but I will always carry my spotting scope. Although I might upgrade the power of my scope from 45 to 60. I love to use 15's to glass with, but when ever a buck is spoted, everyone leaves their 15's to come look through my spotter. Tines If I put a muzzle break on my gun, then no one will ever hunt with me. The area arround me will look like that jack rabit you shot with it! ie..BOOM!

Sell them to Josh. You should see his collection!

Way Cool! Thanks for sharing!
