Archery will be way more than 200! Aug-Sept! And Dec-Jan. All those units down there will have almost nonstop deer pressure from Aug -Jan. It is amazing the deer are not totally nocturnal. BUT, of course if the deer were to go totally nocturnal then hunter success would be lower, and then the G&F could put out MORE PERMITS $$$$ You gota love it!

Becky. Amy Lance Even though it was rough, the girls enjoyed their first turkey hunt, we all had a great time and saw lots of birds and were able to take some great toms. A couple of other toms were missed and a couple of flocks of jakes were passed up. Even though we had trouble calling in toms and had to resort to other methods we were able to call in lots of hens! We also saw three huge bears! One day, Ryan even called in a wolf with his hen calls! Scott saw it run in behind Ryan, stop, look him over, winded him and then took off without Ryan even knowing the wolf was there! I hope you enjoyed the pictures because we sure enjoyed taking them! Scott poses with a tom we took while staking out one of the "strutt zones". Water was everywhere and beutifull spring creeks ran everywhere. Here are some pictures of me decoying in some hens with my hand puppet! You can see two hens in the pictures and the closest one hung out at 8 yards for a long time! These pictures are off of video I took of the incounter it worked so well and it is pritty dang funny! The hen and I had quite the conversation together On Sunday we didn't hunt and took a long trip to the Bear Wallow Lookout Tower. Ryan and his girls pose on the steps of the tower. We had 30+ last year and it is looking like there will be more this year! Keep spreading the word, it will be a great time with great people and good food! I almost applied for the Nov instead of the Sept hunts myself. I wonder how many people did that? It used to be that all you had to do was make sure it was an archery cow or bull number. If people were drawing them as 3rd choice that meens they were extremely Low demand! Lance
