Dang, I think he is just far enough where you won't be able to see him, sorry
-
Why don't you point me in the right direction and I'll let you score him in September.....wouldn't want to leave you guessing Rob, too bad you don't have a unit 9 tag. He is the bull on your "whack an elk" t-shirt. Younghunter is right about what bull it is. Last year he finnished out with a 4" 7th point. His tops really make his bottoms look short, especially when he finnishes off. This is a couple of pictures of him from last year from latter in July. Lance

How about now?

Congrats on your success! There is no hope for you know good luck! Lance -
Been scouting alot lately. These are pictures from Friday morning. We saw 46 bulls that morning but only got pictures of a couple of them. Thought I'd share them with you. Hope you enjoy them. Lance

Had 10 diferent Coues bucks between the three cams, several elk and lots of mule deer. These Pic's are from the end of May to the first half of June so I'm sure they are all bigger now. Enjoy Lance

Hey I got pictures of those bulls as well! Cool! That palmated bull is getting bigger every year! I got some pictures and video of him last year. This is the bull with the high third on his left side. This is the palmated bull. This is a picture of the palmated bull from last year with fresh rubbed horns. Lance

Basically you won't waste time scouting any of that unit. And sometimes where all the people are is the best spot to hunt. Other wise for a more spicific spot.... Start at the "top" and go West about three miles. Make a four mile square around that spot and start there. There will be quad acces on the North east and South east. And if you figure out what that means don't tel anyone! Welcome to the site. Hope to see you around the site more often. Are you a Coues hunter? Lance

I want to play too! Lance

But if you have a cam that does not have date or time you won't be able to enter? I have three cams and none of them have dates or times. So I have to buy anotherone that is more expense to enter? Now that is not fair to the people that can't afford them. So what could we do to change that rule? I just figure if I buy a cheap one and someone steals it or a bear tears it up i am not out of 300.00 dollars. How about if we have someone back the photo? I don't know how it will work but maybe we all can think of something. Clay Amen to that! There are plenty of us that own cameras that don't have time and date on them. That doesn't make us dishonest. I for one would rather own 6 cheap cams than one expensive cam that I have to worry about getting stolen. What say we let the idea maker make the rules? Where is crazy$COUES anyway? I am all for just seeing some cool pictures on the honor system!

2nd annual Flagstaff area CWT get together!
Lance replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Thank you everyone for showing up and supporting the weekend and the crew! I counted 22 people all together. We had at least half a dozen new faces different than last year. The Raffle earned $113.00 for CWT.com and a couple of people really cleaned up on the prizes! The ones that talked most about their 100 yard archery shooting didn't show up! ?? The ones that did show up shot excellent and the 10 and 12 ring on the targets had to be continually cleared of arrows after 3-4 shots to make room for everyone else's arrows! We had 5 youth shooters and 9 adult shooters. A few of the guys that were there showed off some excellent 80 yard shooting! The fishing was a little slower than a couple of weeks ago but still plenty of fish were caught and lots of fun was had! For the fish contest, I think my 9 year old son Weston had the biggest trout and biggest Arctic Grayling when we left Saturday night. But several people stayed and fished beyond that. Patty -aka "Younghunters Mom"- was the Horse Shoe Champ and Doug aka -"Red Rabbit"- was lucky enough to be her partner. Although, Doug can throw a pretty mean shoe himself and showed everyone what "made in China" is all about by breaking one of the shoes on what was sure to be a ringer "if the stake had been high enough"! lol! Doug and Ty cleaned up on the Guess the Score contests! We got to have a camp fire this year with s,mores and the whole bit! We were up till 1:40 am the first night swapping lies! (For some reason Doug is really good at judging distances at night? lol! Just kidding Doug.) And then we got up at 5:30 to go fishing! Thanks to everyone for there contributions! We had a great time and got to meet many new faces and we missed those who were not able to show up. We will do it again next year if everyone is up to a third annual get-together. OK guys, My family and I just got back from Sea World tonight. We are a bit tired and sun burned but we will be packing up and heading out there tomorrow morning. Or when ever we wake up! Doug said he would put some signs out tonight. Thanks Doug! We are providing burgers and dogs for Friday night. (About darkish) You can bring something to go with it if you like but not required. Bring your own drinks and chairs. We are also providing biscuits and gravy for breakfast! About 8:30ish That should give everyone time to go scouting, fishing or just sleep in! Any questions call me at (928) 607-9380 We look forward to seeing you there! Lance -

Dang I love this spot! Last year we got 11 different Coues bucks on this cam. So far I think I got 4. This is the first trail camera I have checked this year. It was out for 2 weeks and had 676 pictures on it. About 100 of them were cattle. But mostly deer! The bucks are all still just nub heads but some of them you can tell are mature bucks. Lance

Here is one from a few years ago with my Wife and my oldest son Ty. It was Ty first Coues deer hunt that he had been on. He was 9 and didn't have a tag. I shot the buck on the last day and he was so excited! Many other friends and family were on the hunt as well. The smile on my boys face says he loves Arizona because there are Coues deer! I think we would all agree -
Nice pile! Way to go! How many boot leather miles do you think are behind those sheds? Lance

No and No. But you are in the right area I think Lower LM will last at least half of the summer. Or at least past the CWT.com get together dates. Lance
