I hate Stupid People! LOOK NEW UPDATE!! MUST SEE!
Lance posted a topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I HATE Stupid People! Thieves Suck! And I'm watching you! I hear over and over about people getting their Trail Cameras stolen and it makes me sooo mad! This time it was me. Yes I know I took a chance when I placed one of my cams on a trick tank in unit 9. But I thought I'll just leave it for a week and there are only a couple of truck tracks in the area.... Surely people will be nice. It even says that on my camera "Please Be Nice". Well I went and checked the cams and guess what. Someone Jacked with it! Turned it off, flipped it backwards. and stole my SD card! I left them a note saying "Camera and card thieves Suck, Do you really think you have to be this way? I feel sorry for you!" I am a pretty mellow guy and am willing to forgive and forget. Right after I find out who you are! I tracked down the last people who thieved from me at gunpoint and they are in jail! I wasn't so forgiving then as I am now. But, being the lover of tracking that I am.... BTW! Thief. I am watching You. I know your boot tread, and your shoe size! Your approximate weight! The brand of tire on your truck! The size of tire on your truck! And due to the distance between your front tire and your back tire, And the spread of your tires compared to your tire size, I KNOW WHAT KIND OF TRUCK YOU DRIVE and weather you have a lift on that truck, or if you don't!!! That trick tank is miles from pavement and you leave an easy trail! I have placed trail cameras on the roads to see you on your way in and out! The first few pictures on the cam are of my boy and I. So you should recognize us when you see us/we see you! He was excited, and now he is dashed with disbelief that a fellow hunter would do such a thing. We will see you on the road out there, we will look you in the eye and you will know that we know who you are! (I already have an idea.) And when we see you, do you know what we will do? We will go about our lives knowing that you know, that we know what kind of person you are, and that we know we are better than that. Than you. I feel sorry for you. My son Prays for you. Maybe I'll follow his lead some day. Or maybe I'll just post the GPS's of that tank on every site on the net and send it as well to every unit 9 tag holder this year! So everyone can find out what you are trying to hide! To the rest of you. Thanks for letting me vent! LC UPDATE Aug 8th PS. Just received a letter in the mail with my SD card in it! This is what it said! This person needs to contact me at info@tlohunting.com Thank you! Lance, I went up to unit “_____” this weekend to check my game camera on the catchment near “_____” tank (I’ve had it out for almost 2 weeks). To my surprise, my camera was gone. Naturally I was pretty upset (camera cost $150 plus the $200 in gas to drive up there and hang it). I got to looking around and saw your camera in the same tree (but higher up). I assumed that you stole my camera and replaced it with your own. I hope that was not the case. I climbed the tree and took your memory card out and put it into my camera to see what had been coming in. I decided to climb back up the tree, put your memory card back in your camera, turn it off, and spin it around against the tree to get back at you for taking my camera (since I did not want to steal yours). I put the memory card in my pocket and climbed the tree. I turned the camera off and spun it around against the tree. When I got home last night, I realized that your memory card was still in my pants pocket. Today I looked at a couple of internet sites to try and see if I could figure out who Lance (LEC) was so I could return your card (even though I still believed you stole my camera in the first place). I found your posting on CWT.com. After reading your posting several times, I no longer think you stole my camera. There must have been a 3rd party involved between my camera being hung, and you placing your camera out there (I hope. Otherwise I’m the fool again!!!). Anyway, I clicked on your profile and followed the link to “timberland outfitters”. Hopefully you work for them and they will know who you are. Sorry about the card, but it wasn’t taken intentionally. I fully intended to put it back when I spun your camera around. Again, it was retaliation for my camera being stolen. Sorry, but I wasn’t really thinking straight after the bad news. dang thieves. That’s 3 cameras already. Good luck with your hunt. I will steer clear of this water for you. How is that for an end to the story? I am no longer the victim here. He is the one with the stolen camera Amazing! He needs to email me! info@tlohunting.com Lance -

I don't see a reason he would be lying either. I can understand his frustration all too well myself! You would have to climb pritty high to get to my cam so putting the card in his pocket would be the thing to do. When I hung my cam, there were only two different sets of tire tracks in there in the few weeks before that so I figured that wasn't much trafic and it might be safe. So it makes since to me that one track was him placing his cam and one was the "Stupid People". No need for him not to hunt there. I don't even know what tag he has for what hunt. One more reason I need him to contact me! Lance -

Nice! That is awesome!

That is a cool picture! Nice of your wife to see the beauty in that! Too bad the daily direct sunlight is going to quickly fade your huge Coues mount on one side, or I would suggest leaving it there to see that picture all the time! But I would moove it out of the sun if I were you. Lance

Shoot them to keep a fear and respect of man in them! We are not trying to annihilate them. That screws everything up. We realize the importance of them and how they fit in the world. You can try to shoot them all but it won't happen with the sport hunters or fur sellers or casual coyote hunters of today. Many will get away and be a smarter breed and more apt to co exist with the human population today. If you don't try to shoot them all, they will become pests because all the dumb ones will survive, and with no fear or respect for man they will adapt right into your home and kick you out..... figure of speech, you know what I mean. Look at the Mtn Lions in California. The lion population in AZ is good and healthy. But why don't we see them all the time in AZ? Because they have a fear and respect for man in AZ. And that is healthy for them. They quit hunting them in CA and the next year, only a year, it was a problem. And that was with lions! And now the Goverment has to go around killing tons of problem CA cats because big predators (us and Mtn lions or any other combo) can't coexist that way. One has to be the dominant predator, and the other has to know it, in order for them to coexist in a healthy way. You can be the subdominant predator if you want, but that is not what you are meant to be as a human and you're just going to upset the natural balance of nature. So if you shoot one and whether you use their pelt or not be glad you were part of natures natural selection The weak, dumb ones will get culled and the smart ones will live on, to pass it on. That's right. Natural Selection! So many people act like humans are not a part of this world but we have our place in nature just like everything else! We are the Dominant Predator. And as long as all the other animals know that, everyone will live a healthier life. So try to stack them up when you see them and hope the ones that get away learned a leson. It's best for all that way. Example:- If a coyote walked up to a griz bear that was feeding on a kill and started feeding next to him, would you think something was wrong with the coyote? YES! That is one stupid coyote and he will be culled out of the population by that griz! If something is wrong with the bear, and the griz bear just ignores the coyote what will happen? I'll tell you what will happen....- every time that bear makes a kill there will be a huge pack of coyotes there to eat it for him and he will go hungry. That is not natural, and will upset the balance of nature untill the bear dies or he whacks those coyotes and gains a respect from them! So as the Dominant Predator if you are not putting the fear and respect for man into coyotes you are going against the natural flow and grain of nature! So step up and take your place and they will take theirs and everyone can live happily ever after! Lance

Let me guess this is how you looked when you found out. !!!!!!!!!! Hahahahaaa! Thats cute, Thanks hunting girl! Thanks to the rest of you also. it makes a difference to me to hear it! I know some people just accept it, and expect it, especially on a watter hole. I think that kind of accepting of it is just more promotion for those who are doing it. Don't accept it and don't stand for it. It is totally different that putting a 100. bill on the tree. Anyone who sees other peoples property and thinks $$$$ deserves the miserable life they are living and what God is going to give them latter! I don't think it's about money on a tree, I think it's about Hunting Spots and people thinking they have more right than someone else. It is wrong! Thou shalt not steal! And I will always be upset and so should everyone else. Yes, I will be that much wiser next time, and the thief better be wiser as well Cause along with all with all you other guys, I will not except it. I don't promote violence but everyone will know who the thieves are! Hmmm... Fake cam/electric shock box! If you show up and your box is all shot up you would at least know they got a shock that brought them to their knees! Put your orders in! Lance -
How far do you go for your Coues deer? What effort do you apply for that trophy Coues? Would you climb the highest mountains? Would you serch the Far reaches of the earth, to the ends of the world? Hear are my two boys on a recent scouting trip during "Sunrise at the Edge of the World"! I am getting excited for the season! Lets see your working pictures and hear your tacktics. The blood sweat and tears that bring us to those special moments you can only experience on a hunt! Especially a Coues Deer hunt! Lance

That is such an awesome bull! I hope you get him so we can see what he scores! We think he is realy stacked on short main beams. He has good mass and those cool little 7th points are awesome! I would shoot him! He is about the same size as he was last year so I'd say he's getting old so you better go whack the toad! We measure him out to be about 370" Good Luck! Lance

I don't know who that guy with the bird is but that guy behind the cam doing the filming is one hansom good looking devil! Rob You are a sporting guy! I don't know if I would have the guts to give them a warning shot like that.

Time for a name change!
Lance replied to azcouesandelk's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Don't know why you didn't start with "Teen Wolf"! Changing it is corny. Nope, Younghunter is your name! Stick with it! It is who you are now, You have made a name for yourself and it is a good one! Do you think they would have called him "Billy Not Shuch A Kid Anymore"? Of course not. He is still known as Billy the Kid today and you will always be known as The Mighty "Younghunter"! Stick with it! The chicks will dig it! Lance -

Lance replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Hahaha you guys are funny! The "Gutless Method" is the best way period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't like the gutless method then you don't understand it!!!!!!!!!!!! If your meat is getting dirty then You Are Doing It Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are leaving ANY Meat behind then You Are Doing It WRONG!!!!!!!!! That includes Tinder Lions, rib meat, organs, ANY MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it is not the easest way for you to BEST take care of all of the meat then You Are Doing It Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the porcessor does not commend you on your fine meat everytime you bring something in, then Gess What? You Are Doing It WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have done hundreds of big game animals this way and it is the Cleanest, Fastest, Easiest and Best way to take care of a large big game animal. For those of you who insest on hanging up an elk to skin it all I have to say is.... What a waste of valuable time that was always for me and the meat before I knew better. I would be glad to show anyone "hands on" what was tought to me and what I have learned over the years with the gutless method! It is a wonderfull thing to know! Lance -
While in the woods/desert
Lance replied to KGAINES's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I always tell my kids the correct answer to this question. And anyone esle I teach about the outdoors for that matter. "The only thing to fear," and or "the only real dangerous thing in the woods is man" "Animals and nature can be respected and you can almost guarantee you will avoid the dangers of them" "But man is another story, man is unpredictable" "Man is the only realy dangerious thing in the woods and respectfull precautions should always be taken" I don't teach them to live in fear of man in the woods but make sure they are aware. Sad but true. Lance -
