My 11 year old niece hit a big 6x bull during her "Limited Opp" elk hunt but we could not find him. I beleive him to be just fine. But while looking for the bull we found 3 sheds from another bull! The first shed I found is an awesome 400+" class bull! A litle while later and about a half mile away my dad found a set from the same bull but older than the one I found. The ones he found were in dark shaded cover and were in about in the same condition as the one I found in the sage brush. The set is over 370+" The next is a mule deer shed my brother found! By it self it scores 93" and we figure it has an inside spread of the main beams of 25". That would put him over 200" even if the other side didn't have cheaters! Sorry all the pics are phone pics. "HOLY COW!" I thought. "I got to see what an 8 pt Coues looks like!" Oh... Someone got Eastern on us. Welcome to the site! This is an awesome site! And you shot a great buck! Congrats! But.... next time, people will understand what you are talking about if you call that buck a 3pt. Great job, very nice 3x you got there! Congrats and welcome to the site!

Thats awesome! Congrats! I take a lot of hunters every year, And I have to say that as a whole the kids are the most deadly. This year has been no different. Think about it, all their senses are tuned and raw with no bad habits to overcome! Teach them how you want them to pull the trigger and they do it exactly so! They know no different, so have all the confidence in the world. I have seen dozens of kids whack everything from coyotes to deer to elk from 300 to 500+ yards without even thinking twice about it! Tell them they cant and they probably wont, but tell them they can and they will just do it! TEACH THEM YOUNG! KIDS ROCK! Lance

I have had some requests to post the photos of our 2009 antelope bucks. I hope you enjoy them! Three Clients with 81-87+ inch bucks , ( the first three) and Two friends and family with 78-80" bucks! (the last two) We are counting our blessings to be able to be a part of such wonderfull hunts and incredable animals! Thanks again and congrats to everyone involved! Lance PS. the second to last buck with all the curl and looks realy short is actually one of the longer bucks! He just curls back from the time it sprouts from his head and hides his great leanth. The second buck scored the most at a little over 87"

Lance replied to Lance's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Thanks guys! Always lots of fun trying to take pictures. That first goat was nice, the one running away was bigger but the one I still havent gotten a picture of makes both of them look small! Lance -
For my son Weston's 11th birthday party we hiked in and went fishing on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon. My sons Weston and Ty, my nephew Josh and Weston's friend Zane and I made a hot July day of it on a freezing cold river full of fish! I hope you enjoy the pictures! We sure had fun taking them! Happy Birthday Weston! My boys and I! The water was sooo clear you could see 15'+ deep into the depths. It made "Fish Hunting" on the river that much more fun! The Birthday boy is all smiles! Before the hike out we took a break from fishing and cooled off with a little water fight! Happy birthday indeed! Lance

Just thought I would share a couple of deer from the past couple of weeks scouting that stood still long enough for me to take a picture. Not the biggest but going to be a couple of nice ones. Been some great moisture in the Kaibab and unit 7! Lance

Hey thats awesome! Pretty cool that he let you shoot that bull! This time of year is great for those Population Management hunts! Count your blessings to be able to take one down in the sage! Congrats! Lance
-
We have helped many kids and adults take their first deer in that unit! Best to know the places to hunt that will keep you away from the border trafic! Some areas have lots more deer than others so if your not finding them don't be discuraged and just keep scouting other places. It can be a great hunt if you find the higher deer populations and can keep away from the border trafic areas! Scout scout and scout, glass glass and glass! Very rarely do I see hunters glassing off of tripods down there! Or if you want some extra help, look us up! Lance

Lance replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Oh Great! There goes my mountain! maybe there is still enough time before season for the grass to grow back? Hunting is always best after an eruption! Nice one Doug! -
If you drew that tag and would like to go guided, were going to be there, so please feel free to look us up! Thanks Lance

I am so sorry. I know he would want you to celibrate his life and time he had with you. No, I haven't been in your posision. But if you want to talk to someone who has, someone who has lost many of his sons and daughters, Then pray to your Father in Heaven! He knows your pain, please don't blame Him, let him hold you, he does not want to loose you. He loves you with the love you have for your son. He wishes all his children to come home to him and has made the way for families to be together forever. He loves you and even when everyone goes home, he will always be there for you. With Love. The Crowthers.
