I don’t see any evidence other than anecdotal. Guys that thought they would draw didnt, that’s all. What about my previous post..there are 39 confirmed hits in this thread and the thread I started compared to 59 last deer draw. That’s not far off. I think we will see a handful of hits tomorrow, like last years draw. Those are rejected card hits and late bank processing.

Just because an outfitter pasted some text over top of an email for the deadline date doesn’t make it true.

I’ve seen several youth deer tags, only 1 turkey tag though.

That’s the copy and paste answer they tell everyone that calls during the draw cycle, it gets people off the phone quickly and keeps their phone lines open. And it’s technically probably true, they will continue to charge cards through Friday for the rejected applications from Tuesday mornings initial batch

Here is some context… I went through this thread and the other thread I started for people to post that have successfully drawn deer tags… There are claims that they themself or family members or friends have been drawn to a total of 39 successful applicants. I went through last year‘s thread, and there was a total of 59 people that claim to have been drawn, either themselves, friends, or family. Last year’s number reflects all the way through to when the portals were updated though. That gives us about 3 more days of stragglers to come in. I may have miscounted +\- 1 or 2 in either thread, but it’s close. That plus the influx of new applicants may account for this “screw up” by G$F?

I just looked through last years thread and didn’t see a single mention about a hit the following day (today). I did however count 5 hits 48hrs after the initial date (tomorrow). Those I believe are either rejected cards or late bank posts.

According to gohunt last year it was 4 for the date I applied for.

This years regs and a SS of someone with 2 points.

I know you could buy a point this year, not sure previous to that.

But you know enough to speculate that there was a problem? I guess we will see in a few days when they hit us with another wave of charges or the results are released in our portals.

In your opinion how do they charge cards? I assume they do the entire draw, have 10,000 cards to charge, submit all those charges at once. In your assumption they “hit charge” and part way through the charges there is an issue and only 3000 of the charges go through as they should? At that point there is an “issue” that keeps the remaining cards from being charged?

I have seen 2 sheep tags posted, not here but I’ve seen screen shots.

That’s my point, I don’t think a problem happened this draw cycle.

Wouldn’t we have seen another rush of charges by now? With the elk draw there were 2 waves on the same day then it was just charges trickling in later, no? The longer they go without running cards the more likely they are to get rejected cards, not that they care, but that was the idea behind running them as close as possible to the update deadline. Or so I thought.

Wouldn’t that theory be throw out based on the…we can’t charge you ahead of time for goods or services not yet rendered? In other words, they cant charge your card unless you have been awarded a tag (the good/service.) That’s their reasoning for not being able to charge you before the draw happens.

What unit and hunt and how many points, if your ok sharing, I’d like to see the odds myself.

That’s their standard response to every draw cycle. It allows them an easy out to not have to talk to all the people who “should have been drawn for hunts that were ALWAYS 100% draw.” Those days are gone…everyone still holding out hope, your only shot is a rejected card tag at this point, IMO. I’ve heard from guys that have drawn deer, crane, turkey and sheep. They have hit all the cards for all the species. They aren’t ran at different times, different species, bonus pass first and so on…again, just my opinion.
