Mine went in the drop box Friday @ 11am. And nothing so far....2 of my choices still have tags so I guess there's hope!

I can't imagine they got anywhere near 40,000 applications. If that's the case then they should just say applications are due on Monday once the tags have been allocated from those applications first come tags will be available the following Monday. I have to believe that 90% of the leftover tags that are going to go would be gone in that one day. If they received anywhere near that amount of applications.

When did you mail your check and application?

I guess it doesn't pay to be on the ball and have your application in on the first day. Unless of course they're still working through Monday's pile of applications? Who knows.

I had to refresh the list three times for it to get updated to today. I'm pretty confused on how they do this process. There are two hunts I put in for that still have leftover tags. They must just add to the pile every day they check the mail rather than clearing out Mondays clearing out Tuesday etc.

Will they update the list again today? Almost 5pm.

and they already told you you got one? dang, i must have f'd up. I kinda feel the same way! You would think they would process all the ones they got on Monday, then Tuesday and so on. Maybe I'm wrong though. I hope so atleast!

Those of you that have "pending" in the portal or have called and been told you got a tag...when did you mail your apps?

I don't think anyone is stressing or busting on game and fish. I just think it's weird that they update the leftover list before all applications have been accounted for.

I just called and the lady told me I haven't been drawn yet. She said to call back Wednesday or Thursday afternoon to find out. Doesn't really make sense to update the list today. There may be guys out there that forgot to put in that look at the new list thinking there still a bunch of tags left and putting in today, tomorrow, Wednesday for tags that they don't have a shot at.

I know this is a long shot that anyone would be selling these, but just in case. Or has anyone seen a deal on either one of these that they could point me too?

Ive thought about that as well. But, it seems to me that a lot of people would apply for those hunts, and if not drawn, still be given an opportunity to apply and draw in the fall draw cycle. If they could work something out as having to choose one draw cycle or the other, it might work. Idk though. In order to make that work those that want to apply for the archery deer hunts AND rifle deer hunts, game and fish would have to hold the fall archery deer draw with elk/antelope draw and then those that are unsuccessful would have to be allowed to put in during the fall draw also, but if they put in for archery 13b 1st choice and archery 13a 2nd choice during the elk/antelope draw and were unsuccessful, they'd have to put in for rifle hunts starting with their 3rd choice in the fall draw, automatically eliminating them from the 1,2 pass because they've already declared their 1st 2 choices and weren't drawn. Hope that makes sense. Seems like to much for G$F to handle to be honest.

Kudos to G$F for a smooth draw. That being said, I wonder why they didn't make the leftover tag submission date a week or so later? Earliest tag would be in October so no rush. Seems like they are making more work for themselves.

Does anyone know what the coal is on a 300 win mag savage long range hunter? I know I've shot 3.340 out of it with no issues. I found a round with a 3.600 coal I'd like to try, just not sure it will work.

. You're right, I worded my question poorly....I'm wondering if my mag length will allow for a cartridge that measures 3.600
