So I know when you see raffles on here most of them are through organizations Wether it be the Arizona deer association or pronghorn antelope association ETC.......what if a guy (me) wanted to auction off a NEW pair of Swarovski 15x56 SLC? Say I sold 300 tickets for $20 each? I guess my credibility would be the main thing in question. That and making sure it's not rigged and a "buddy " wins. I'm trying to think of a way to do something cool to benefit fellow hunters and also help to pay for my daughters adoption. Just a thought. I don't even know if it's "legal". Now a days there's a lot of red tape with raffles and lotteries.

Seems like more trouble than it's worth! Ha ha. I was just trying to think of something cool that would benefit hunters as well as myself. I don't see how this is this would be dissimilar to the current raffle going on on this website as far as people being upset that I'm profiting from it. That outfitter is making a huge profit off of their raffle. However those tickets sold extremely fast and I didn't hear anyone complain about them making money. Just my two cents though. I definitely don't have a problem with them making money from the raffle. As far as people wondering about the legitimacy of the raffle, I figured that would be the main problem. They would think it was rigged somehow or something along those lines.

That's what I figured would be my biggest hurdle. Not looking to make it a business, just do it enough times to pay off the debt from my daughters adoption. I talked about the idea with some buddies that hunt and told them I wouldn't even let them participate. Told my dad the same thing. I would want it to be 100% legit.

There are always a few people that ruin things for everyone. That other site was hit or miss on good guys. I definitely wouldn't do anything on here without permission. As far as the legality goes I wasn't sure that's why I was asking. I just thought it would be a cool way to give someone a great deal on some great gear and help me to boot.

If you don't draw everything is refunded except $13 for the app fee. Paying up front sucks but it is worth it if you do draw as its an investment in hunting opportunities I get that, just wondering if they put the refund back on your credit card or do they mail you a check? I prefer the way New Mexico does it and Colorado for that matter. Taking your money upfront is such an easier process than Arizona where your card can get declined and all that BS.

New to the New Mexico draw...didn't draw. How do they do refunds? Back onto your card or do you get a check in the mail like Colorado?

Wrong.....I only buy bonus points for bighorn and buffalo and I have a loyalty point.You need to be gettin in on the draw! Unless you're 12 and gonna live to be 100 you'll never get yourself into a position of a guaranteed tag so it's gonna be luck of the draw (slim chance luck no matter how many points you have) until you die. May as well take a crack at them each year!! I have no desire to shoot a buffalo....right now, but I may down the road. You're right about the bighorn though. Next year I will start putting in.

Anyone use their draw odds calculator? I had my buddy run my bonus point number for the hunt I want and it said I had better odds than I thought of drawing it. Does anyone that uses it find it to be accurate?

Well according to go hunt insider I had a 64% chance to draw a unit 10 tag with 23 points.....next year I'll have 24 points.

You say finally....have you been checking every few mins and finally had it hit? Or finally because it's been a long wait?

If your card is rejected does it tell you in your portal? So instead of saying "not drawn" does it say card rejected?

A buddy of mine put in for An elk hunt that according to gohunt.com he has a 100% chance of drawing and his credit card hasn't been hit yet. That's the only thing giving me hope.
