If you don’t mind...what units did you apply for? I drew either 5B or 10 this year with 25 points. I’m assuming 10, figured i made it into the bonus pass.

I don’t think so. I don’t think 25 points put me in the bonus pass for 5B. I think it might have for unit 10. If it did, with 10 being my 2nd choice then i didn’t even have a shot at 5B. A buddy has 26 points and put in for 5B and didn’t draw so i think that the bonus pass was 26 or more for 5B.

Well.....i probably could have made the shot with my bow. Haha 90 yards! The cleaning did tighten the groups back up though.

For some reason i thought they only accepted Pesos at the tolls and not US currency, i could be wrong though.

You can get them at select Wells Fargo’s. I grabbed $1000 pesos for $56.10 last week for my hunt down there next week.

For that price i want the Roomba too....and 100sqft of that tile....and maybe something out of the fridge, then we can make a deal.

I was supposed to be leaving on Monday to go down there, but due to a death of a family member in the group we had to push the trip back a week. Now leaving Jan 28th.....it cant come soon enough!

Next month will be my first time going to Mexico to hunt coues deer. What do i need to know? What are some do’s/don’t’s? I’m going in a group of 5 guys. 1 guy has prior experience, he went last year to another ranch. The ranch we are hunting is pretty far south. We will be driving to Hermosillo then the ranch is 3 hrs or so east of there.

I’m going pretty far south, rancher did say it’s been pretty cold on the ranch so fingers crossed. Saw your buck on instagram, heck of a deer ! Congrats!

I’m going in 14 days, if I’m lucky enough to kill i hope mine has that few. Not looking forward to pickin ticks for hours.

Bump for a great harness. I have one with the rino gps pouch and G7 rangefinder pouch, great setup. Noticed this one has the padded shoulder straps too, that’s a bonus!

Great info, thanks! As to your points: 1) we have the Mexican resident that is helping with our gun permits meet us at the border and help out with that. A person in our group speaks fluent Spanish. 2) from what a few have told me as long as you have a notarized letter from the company owner (himself) allowing him to drive the vehicle (stating they are one in the same) it should be ok. 3) that’s the first I’ve heard about the ammo. I know there is a 30-06, 7mm mag and a .300 win mag going down, not sure on the other guns. 4) we plan on trying to pay for most everything in pesos to try and solve the conversion issue. Tips to rancher and help will be in American dollars. 5) I’ve heard that from almost everyone that’s been down there. 6) that will be tough for me, I’m a planner. I like things to go smoothly, i gererally have a problem when things don’t go as planned. I’ll have to work on that this trip haha! 7) how did your group do? Kill some good bucks? How far south of the border were you? Thanks again for the info!!

Thanks for the info, his truck is a 3/4 ton diesel, but not a flatbed or dually and no tool box.
