300WM Went out and shot the Tikka for the first time and it liked the HSM Trophy Gold rounds with the 185gr Bergers over the Choice ammo and the Precision Hunters. If you have some or know where I can find some let me know, thanks!

That’s what I’ve been hoping to find, heard good things about that combo.

Who’s got it and doesn’t need it? I’m breaking in a new gun Sunday and trying to find a factory load it likes. I have some HSM trophy gold with bergers and some Choice ammo with Accubonds. I’d like to get one more higher end ammo to feed through it in hopes to find something sub MOA. Only catch, it’s a Tikka so it has a short mag box. Both of the above ammos mentioned fit in the box and feed, but I don’t know their OAL.

I have some rounds for a gun that were hand loaded….they are about 1/8th” too long for a new gun I have. Can the bullet be “pushed” further into the shell? I know that will affect the accuracy as these were hand loaded and built for another rifle I figured it wouldn’t matter all that much. I have around 60 rounds and would like to try them in my new rifle.

I thought about seeing if Lance could work up a load for this new rifle, but figured it would be next to impossible right now with the ammo shortages. Didn’t figure I could find components. I haven’t even shot the gun yet, I’ve got some HSM and some Choice ammo I was gonna try out. From what I’ve heard these Tikka are fairly decent at getting factory ammo under 1 MOA. That’s about as good as a shooter as I am anyway.

I have all that load data…Lance on here is the one who built the round for the other gun.

I’m SURE I’m exaggerating the 1/8” measurement. I was more so curious if it’s something that could be done easily, doesn’t seem so.

Exactly…I drew 36a 11/26-12/5 with only my loyalty and hunter safety bogus point. You were reaching on hunts that were far from a sure thing.

Haha I wish that was a one time tag fee and not a reoccurring payment! And the Wyong charge is just preference points for deer and antelope.
