I got an email this morning that they are extending the sale for another day. I grabbed some of their game bags last night since they were discounted.

I know this thread is a year old, but I am curious to know how this trip went and if you would be willing to give a bit of a follow up report. I’ve never taken the plunge on a true backpack hunting trip, but I’m very interested in doing so. I’ve hunted for 25+ years, but never been too far to return to camp.

I’ve been watching two WT bucks in central AZ for this weekend’s juniors hunt and they were both hard horned last time I saw them on September 24th.

I have 4 full boxes of 6.5PRC Hornady 147 ELDM that I am looking to trade for 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips or Hornady 143 grain ELDX. Not interested in selling at this time. I appreciate the heads up. My gun doesn’t like the 147’s at all, but I am getting 1/2” groups with the Noslers. I have 4 boxes of the 147’s and 15 rounds of the Noslers. Not urgent, but figured someone might be looking to swap.

I also used Ross Outdoors to rent a spotter last year on my deer hunt and I highly recommend them. It also doubles as an opportunity to do a real field test on something you may consider buying for yourself. I looked at some of the other optics rental options and after factoring in some of the additional costs Ross was actually cheaper.

I love that they do this camp for the youth. We have a deer tag for the juniors hunt in 22, but we’ll be hunting in a part of our unit that doesn’t make sense to stop by the youth camp. Good luck to all the youth hunters.

The only long distance purchases/sells I’ve made are with members of the site that I can see have been members for at least a few years and have actively posted that whole time. I also check the good sellers and good buyers thread. I’ve done this multiple times and I’m yet to have an issue. Knock on wood 🪵

Do you know if this is still closed? My son has a football game at Thatcher High School today and I’m not finding much about this online.

Very disappointed in the very little rain here in Florence. I watched the radar last night and lots of heavy rain passed just a few miles North of us. Hoping we can get some decent rain today. Looks like a lot of really good rainfall totals for a large portion of the state, including where my son has a very good juniors tag for early October and I have the general October hunt in the same unit. Can’t complain!!

When you give up 17 offensive rebounds that just means you got out worked. Hard to beat a team when they want it more than you do. I think whoever wins game 5 will win it all. I think this series is going 7.

You’re correct, but posting a lot doesn’t mean you’re contributing. For example, you post a lot, but I wouldn’t call it a contribution, I’d put most of it in the “garbage poster” category.

Tony is a good guy and has done a lot of good for the hunting community. A lot of good people have stopped posting over the years because of a large amount of immature jerks. I see Tony on Facebook quite often and he seems to be doing well.
