I just hit 18 years a little over a week ago! I have met a lot of great people on this site over that time. Others that I haven't met in person, I still feel like I know them pretty well. It is intersting to see how the forum and a lot of the posts have changed over the years. I think a lot of that is due to how social media has grown and evolved over that time. It used to be every different season you could read several different excellent write ups on people's hunts, along with multiple pictures. There used to be a lot more information on tactics posted. I miss those days. Ever since I first started hunting coues as a 12 year old in the early 90's I had an extreme passion for it. Looking back I really had no idea what I was doing, and if I ever got a buck it was pure dumb luck. I have learned so much from those early days and the help of many members on here. Even just a few years ago I was struggling with a tough hunt and reached out to a few members on here just asking for some tactical advice. After some advice and encouraging words I was able to take a really nice buck(in my avatar) on the last day. I owe a lot to this site and the great people involved in it.

I use onx and download maps ahead of time so that I don’t need any signal and it has worked perfectly fine. When I have no signal it shows S.O.S. And a little satellite icon. If I hurt myself really badly and need emergency services I could text 911 via satellite. To this point I’ve never had to do that, but it gives myself and my wife a little more peace of mind knowing I have that capability. I don’t feel like I need an emergency locator, or spot messenger, or anything of that sort now. I haven’t ever tried sending a text yet while connected via satellite. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213426#:~:text=With iPhone 14 and iPhone, location with people via satellite.

Yeah, it's just a personal preferrence for me. I got the iPhone 14 when I heard about the new satellite capabilities it would have, plus I always have onx maps downloaded for offline use. I like the convenience of the e-tag so I decided to give it a go this year. I get why some may not like that option.

I got my tag the day they posted results. E-tag is the way to go!

That's a great price on the Kowa spotting scopes. I bought a 773 back in December and I have been really happy with it. -
My dad pulled a late December tag also, with 2 bonus points.

Congrats! That's a great tag for your son!

One of my boys just got hit for a tag within the last hour

This is what I have been wondering, but didn't want to say it cause who knows who's reading these forums nowadays. They would have really had to rally the troops to make the impact we are seeing this year.

Yup, it's real now. I have a tag for myself. No charges yet on 3 other cards for my family that I'm checking.

Wow! I drove through there the first weekend in April. It's shocking to see it so much higher in just two months.

It has been my experience that they are extremely hard to get a hold of, even when they are supposed to be open and answering the phones.

I've bought tickets from BlairHunter twice now and he has been extremely easy to deal with. You can trust him. Playoff atmosphere is on a whole other level.

I would like to buy these. Just sent a text.

My sister texted me this picture from her house in the Salt Lake Valley today. Yesterday it was 83 degrees at her house and today it's snowing. This weather is unreal.
-
I was in Sandy, UT at my sister's house over the weekend and the high temps were about 60 degrees and 95% of the snow in her yard had already melted. She sent me pictures this morning of what got dumped on them last night and this morning. Pretty impressive winter they've had.

Bump for the lucky people that drew elk tags!

For sale Kuiu Pro LT pack system with 4000 and 5500 Pro LT bags. System includes: Carbon Fiber Frame - Tall Pro Suspension - Valo - L/XL Pro Hip Belt Pouches - Valo Pro LT Bag - Valo - 4000 Pro LT Bag - Valo - 5500 I purchased this setup new in October and used it one day with the Pro LT 4000 Bag on a rifle deer hunt. No deer killed that day, so pack is still in brand new condition. The Pro LT 5500 bag has still never been used. I found I still prefer my Outdoorsmans pack over this setup, so I might as well move this one along. Everything is in perfect working condition. I will split up the bags if someone is interested in just one of them. If you purchased all of this new today it would be over $700 Price is firm: $525 for entire pack system and both bags I live in Florence and work in downtown Mesa Monday thru Thursday. Willing to meet up between those places during the week or as far West as Bass Pro. I’ll be in Casa Grande tomorrow evening for a baseball game. PM here, or call or text if interested 480-5OO-6545 Daryl

Wow, 2003?!?! I joined July of 2005 and I believe I was a little over member number 600. I wonder how many members there were in 2003.

So I’m now in the market for a good scope and I just read this entire thread. Swarovski wasn’t mentioned at all, so I’m curious to hear your opinions on the Swarovski Z6 3-18x50.

I have 15 bonus points and I have a 96.8% chance of getting another BP with my draw choice 🤞

Sunday morning bump.

If you get a photo radar ticket in Mesa but live in Florence they won’t hand deliver it and it will get tossed out. Don’t ask me how I know 🥷
