I've got a 3.5-10x50mm leopold VIII. I believe the 3.5X10 is correct I'll look again. Excellent shape. Goes for 550.00 in Cabelas asking 400.00. Was Wifes scope, but she wants my Burris with the red dot system, and I want the new Ballistic Plex signature series.

Will trade U a 270 never been shot.

I have a brand new 270 mossberg I won in a big buck contest this year I'm asking 250.00 that is what you can pick it up for a Wally World before tax's, and a used but excellent condition Mathew Legacy with drop away rest, Montana black gold sights and quiver ready to shoot, 29 inch draw at 70lbs with plano bow case. Asking 500.00 and firm on both, Got new bow and have to get rid of one and got to many guns and the 270 will collect dust.

It sounds like its official, at the end of this year you will have to start putting in for Archery Deer, and its archery or rifle, no second trys. I'm happy, less yahoos running around with bows, inless they are serious...

Well, this has been interesting, I knew I would stir some pots but I didnt realize this many. I hunt and live up here in the units 8, 10, 7, 9 and have seen the archery hunt just destroy the rut for the mule deer. I've been hunting the archery hunt in 10 for a long long time and have many p&y animals to show for it but the amount of pressure and lions have destroyed what used to be a great hunt, I did say used to be. I use to do nothing but the archery hunt and I moved over to rifle coues for some privacy.. I heard someone say that I must be a tree hugger, that was a good one... Sorry to spoil your thoughts but I'm as gung ho about hunting as the next probably more. People dont fill tags and everyone comes up to try to stick a spike, and we wonder where all our big deer went??? It's not rocket science, over crowding on hunts creates pressure, lack of breeding, lions eat lots of deer, and elk are bigger and more equip to survive over a weak muley, oh ya and we have lots of wild burros to chase off wildlife from waterholes being they are very territorial. So next time you "think" you got it all figured out come back to reality and call me if you find a fresh lion kill or track... and we will try to solve a piece of the problem...

Tell Chris congrats, anything with a bow is a trophy.. Specially of that size...

I have a Mathews Legacy, 70lb draw with a 29 inch draw length that I'm up for selling for a new bow, I dont know why quite yet. I will sell with the quiver but would like to take by sights and overdraw. This bow is in excellent condition and I am asking 500.00, inless you want the overdraw with the fall away rest and then 550.00. I shot my CX-400's with a 100 grain tip on it at 281fps.

When can we check to find out for the deer hunt?
-
It is if you want to be nut to butt with every hunter in the unit.... And fight for a bull to go after. Maybe just a bad year, heck put in, might be a trophy hunt in disguise.
-
Game and Fish are complete Morons.... Just when we dont think they can get any stupider, they prove us wrong.

I've got a client for the archery hunt, and a bunch of locals here have tags.

Hey Gabe, I just found it about a month or less ago, and I havent seen you, sorry, and still working on the house. This horn scored 192 and 4 eighth, and I gave nothing, if anything I took. His extra point at the bottom is 5 inches so without he would be a 187 and 4, never seen the bull, he lives in a very, very, very thick area, and theres no way to glass, but that is why he is probably still alive. Thats pretty cool though that he put on ten inches on a drought condition year, just goes to show that them big boys will find what they need.
-
Thanks for the comments, I found that same horn last year brown and about crapped my pants, it scored 183 continued looking for the other side and found his set from the year before, one ontop of the other, his one side scored 187 that year which had less mass but better points. I went back this year hoping to find him again out of just luck and found his other side from last year, It was at least a quarter to half and mile away, and both years it has a deformity, good horn but nothing like the other side, its probably the the same this year, 340 to 360. I'll have to take the measurements again, I put them on the bottom of a paper plate and I'm sure we used it and threw it away.
-
Josh, found the biggest horn of my time, scored 192 and 4 eights, if you remember the two horns of the same bul I showed you last year, its the same bull but a hair bigger. If I can get my computer set up and learn how to put a picture on here, blah blah blah.

Your just made I got firewood and you dont. I'm working on it.

Dont believe everything muleybull says, he speaks in fork tongue. -
I've also got the swaro 65 and love it, once I find it with my 10x42s I switch over to the 65. I have the straight, not angle.
-
I agree with the whitetails being more adaptive to some areas, I saw more coues than mule deer on my hunt in the high country this year, although that may not say much do to we don't have many mule deer left anyways. But on a couple occassions people said they saw coues bucks running with muley does?
-
What is the greatest danger to Coue's hunting in your state?
muley replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Drought is without a doubt a big problem, but I look at some things different up here in the high country different than you guys down with the illegals. So it varies where you live.. But the amount of tags given out along with the year long hunting pressure doesnt help matters at all. -
Are they actual Blood Hounds or like blue ticks, or walkers etc. No collars? And where did you find them? I know a few houndsman, and run hounds myself.
-
If anybody is up in the high country of Units 8, 9, 10, 7, 18's or 19's, and find a kill, call me if its fresh well work something out...

I used to be muley because my heart was in killing big mulies with my bow back in the day, now I'm HighCountryCoues, I live in Williams so I'm in the high country and I'm hooked on coues hunting, and this is a coues site, not what you guys call carp. I love Josh's story. Grong is it.
