Anyone have any info on a 1 day coyote contest thats this saturday? From what I know its in Ash Fork, and its supposed to take the place of the Willets hunt that was north of Williams until it was canceled this year. I think its $50 per team. Anyone have any info? I know theres one by Kingman, but thats a different one.

Heres what I do know now. The Willets contest held north of Williams is canceled because Cookie Willet broke his hip. But it sounds like hes doing OK overall. This hunt thats going to be held in Ash Fork is kind of a last minute thing that started as a benefit for a very popular local kid that was a tough competitor in the Willet contest. He was killed in CA not long ago, 31 years old. It was originally just some guys getting together in his behalf. Half the money was going to this guys very young boy, the rest to the winner. Word got around and lots of people became interested. It even sounds like Cookie Willets going to help these guys out, and they are going to try to make it a more organized, yearly thing after this year. But how do we sign up. If I find more info, I'll post.............

Probably gonna get a variety of colors if I can find any. Mostly pumpkin and watermelon with some flake. Trying to get away from the long tail, thats why I'm hoping to find something similar to the Senco, but I checked the Gary Yamamoto site and could only get up to 7" Might be going to Lake Baccarac in a couple months, last time I was there I was wishing I had a little bigger stuff to try to keep the smaller (2 - 3 lbs) fish away from my bait.

I'm with grong on this. I've known people that have tried to pass easterns off as coues, and still do. Ask for a field photo, surely after killing something this big they would have found someone that had a camera in this day and age.

I almost bid on that. I know a guy that I'm pretty sure has some easterns mounted on a coues cape. He doesnt fool very many people either. Ask the seller the same thing we ask the guy with the mounts........lets see some field photos. Surely if you kill something like that you'll dig up a camera somewhere.

Nice, congrats.

We tried some whitetail doe in estruss during our december hunt last year. The deer were rutting like crazy, but they never really paid much attention to the spots that we put the scent. It was colder than H - E - double hockey sticks, so theres a chance the stuff just froze and didnt put out a lot of smell. But, I think things like that are always worth a try, it only has to work once.

Got any pics??

Took a little video, then took picture off tv. The one on the left is a 4 point, the one on the right has 4 on his left and ?? on his right. Cant get any other angles, cameraman was a little slow and a lot shaky by nature. Any guesses on either buck? I seem to be having trouble attaching files.
