Bill, I LOVE the book!!!! Thank you so much. I just had knee surgery yesterday so I am laid up for a week or two, the book has been a wonderful distraction. I especially love the first time to Africa chapter, I too had some of those same thoughts and feelings my first visit, thank you for reminding me of them with your beautifully descriptive writings! To have a signed copy makes it even more special! Again thank you!

The Best!!! I am so glad you posted this! I am a firm believer of limits when it comes to hunting. It seems nowadays there is almost a nonchalant attitude towards losing animals because of poor shot placement which typically happens from shooting out of a set comfort zone. I hunt archery but have non-archers (rifle hunters) with me when I hunt, some get so mad when they see me pass on what they term as a 'easy' shot but for some reason or another I wasn't in my zone and didn't take that shot. I love when someone ask me "how close was the shot" instead of "how far". To watch an animal walk away that you didn't want to risk a bad shot on is much better than watching him walk away with an arrow in his butt! Kudos to your wife and you for patience... the absolute key ingredient when it comes to hunting.

Amazing! That doesn't even come close to describing the experience... I just returned from a 7 day hunt with Zingeli Safaris in South Africa, after the hunt we took another week to site see. My husband didn't hunt, I felt bad that he had to sit in blinds with me all day or watch patiently as I stalked my game, so I figured I better show him more of S. Africa. We went to Kruger National Park and then to Cape Town. By the end of the trip we were exhausted but so pleased with our experience. The game was plentiful, never boring, so many new and exciting things to see from our pit blinds. No shot over 23 yards, only two animal went over 40 yards after the shot. I'm also proud to say, some of the animals will make Gold Medal in the SCI Book. After a day of hunting we sat around a fire with good S. African beer and delicious S. African wine. The food was incredible and our accommodations were first class. No t.v. or computer , I thought it would bother me to be 9 days with no news from the outside world, but it was so nice just to relax. Our PH was amazing, his passion for hunting was hard to match. All in all a great time, I'm already bugging my husband to take me back, I still have a list of animals I need to get! I need to thank the guys at Bull Basin Archery here in Flagstaff, they had me set up and confident with my Mathews. They were even patient with me when I started obsessing and in the shop every day! Also to Tim Neal with TrophySeekers World Wide for setting up the trip and helping me with broadhead selection! The biggest Thanks goes to my husband, it's hard to explain the passion I have for hunting, but he goes along with it and tries to understand and is always there to support me and my crazy whims and ideas! Now it's time to concentrate on my bull elk hunt only a few weeks away! I'M LIVING THE DREAM!!! :P My equipment included: Mathews Drenalin, Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 350 arrows, And the F-15 Carbon Express broadhead. Our room: The end of the day, check out my husband's shirt!!! Nyala or also called "The Prince of Africa" Gnarly Warthog: Kudu!!! 54-55" Impala: Wildebeest: Zebra: Thanks for looking! Ilene

Again Amanda, my thanks to you and all the people that helped pull this camp together. I had a great time helping Chris and Laura. Whether it was sitting glassing (between gabbing and laughing) or on our stalks through country that grabs, sticks and pokes you, Laura was game for it all. Her perfect stalk to within 15 yards only to have sticks in the way and the wind change up on her, to her great stalk and shot on a pig.... Her tenacity on following the blood trail for 6 hours was inspiring! Thanks to Stan and Tracy for all their help, Tracy (Gr8 White Jr) is the original "Javelina Whisperer", it was a pleasure hunting with you and learning from you! Stanley, I still get goosebumps when I relive watching that stalk through the binos, that was one of the coolest hunting experiences I have ever had!!! TJ and Peg it was fun talking to you and your dove apps. and javelina sausage stuffed mushrooms were awesome! It was great putting faces to the screen names we see on here, SunDevil very nice to meet you and your wife! The guys doing the cooking were incredible! AND..... Bill..... Your jokes (even the ones at my expense) still make me laugh. It was a pleasure sir, I enjoyed your company and I appreciate you sharing some of your knowledge. I shared time with friends, made new friends and enjoyed all of it!!! A few more pictures... Hello!!! John the 'Champion Predator Caller' Chris "WHERE ARE THEY"???? Moving the 'Johns' HEY WAIT, I'M NOT DONE!!!!!! Oh Kathy.... You make me LOL The End.
