I'm not an expert by any means, but my amateur observation is that 3A/C is not what it used to be. The elk just don't seem to be there in the numbers they once were. A lot of people think it is the horses. They may be right. The horses are everywhere, and they seem to drive elk off of water.

Three pages of discussion here for folks looking for those with experience buying from Scheels:

Hopefully that means that Peterson will be making a run of 7mm mag brass next. I've seen the 300 WM pop up several places the last few days.

Totally not disagreeing with what you decided to do, and in the moment I might have done the same. But, if the goal of the hunt is population management, it seems like arrowing the fertile and healthy cow might have aligned with the objective better than taking a calf that nature likely would have claimed on its own. Again, no issues here as far as I'm concerned (not that my opinion matters anyways), just another way to look at it--and another example of why ethics are hard to regulate because ethics often depend on the eye of the beholder.

Whatever the tall skinny one is matches the plant that started growing under one of my lemon trees. I can't seem to kill it.

I added a few extra pounds to a powder order to off set the HAZMAT. I'd like to sell one of each of the following (asking price is $5 over my own cost) Varget - $50 H4350 - $49 IMR 4831 - $47 I'm in the east valley and can meet anywhere along the 60 if needed.
-
IMR 4831 is SPF. Just the H4350 left.

I have a pound of H1000 that I won't be using. I want to trade it for 1k small rifle primers. Not interested in selling it. Located in Gilbert.
-
Beautiful! I'd buy it myself, but I already have two 722s in 257 Robert's waiting to be restored. Did you clean that rifle up yourself, or did someone else do the work?
-
Nah...trading a $39 ($60, if you shop at Brunos) can of powder for a $37.99 box of primers is taking advantage of people...but flipping a $37.99 box of primers for $120 cash after you lucked into the box at Sportsmans the morning after your buddy told you the truck would be there is a totally different matter. You're not being a turd, because "if people want it bad enough, they will pay for it."
-
And how many people were able to snag it from Natchez and MidSouth before it was gone? If there is someone who needs H1000 more than they need 1k SRP, then by definition it is fair. I don't don't particularly need either, so if no one wants to trade then I really don't care. I value all of my trades at retail price, not fear hoarding prices. If you want want to crap on someone's classifieds post, maybe start with that guy from this morning who wants to sell you a loose 2 pounds from his new jug of RL16 for $90.

Several people had charges today. Seems they are reassigning tags from rejected cards. Depending on how long that takes, they may have the portals updated by tomorrow.

I would like the Redding 300 Ultra Mag body die and full size bushing die. Where are you located?

Did he call and ask for his refund? Granted, he shouldn't have to call, they should just do it automatically...but if he asked for it and didn't get it, then that's a whole other level.

It is possible, but I doubt it. Seems like this is the kind of problem that they figured out early enough. I would guess that with the elk draw they either didn't know about all the problems or couldn't fix them before they finalized the results. With only 100 sheep tags and early notice of the issue, you would think that they could fix it before finalizing anything.
-
A friend of a friend had a rejected charge on his card for $2,100 on Friday. He called first thing this morning. He's going sheep hunting. I have to think that they know this was an issue, so that they are going to be very careful about reissuing any sheep tags due to rejected cards. They typically don't reassign tags until the following week anyways, so it shouldn't be too hard for them to keep it straight....but they never cease to impress us with their ability to make mistakes, so who knows.
-
Last year the only 36 hunts that had tags fall to the 3-5 pass were the early and late Nov hunts in 36A. The 36A Oct and all 36B and C tags went in the first/second pass.
-
Not following you here. If they only applied for youth tags, then $25 is exactly what you should have been charged.

If there is no app showing up in the portal, then that means that he has more than one Customer/Sportsman ID. They still don't have all of those accounts merged either. I had to have them merge my nephew's before the draw deadline, even though we did the same thing for the elk draw. They tried to say it was because I had purchased a new license for him without using the proper Customer ID number, and that this created a duplicate account, but I showed them that the license I had on file was the same one used in the elk draw and had the same Customer ID. They keep blaming it on customer use, but even if it were the customers that were causing the problem, then it is only because you system is so broken that it allows the customer to screw up without realizing that he is doing so.
