SOLD - Vortex Viper 4-12x40 Duplex Reticle - $27

SOLD -
SOLD For sale, Vortex Viper 4-12x40 scope with duplex reticle. Has side parallax focus knob. Glass is clean and clear. Small scuff on the elevation cap. Has been mounted on a rifle, but no visible mounting marks. Comes with scope cover and Weaver-style rings. I'll give you the bases too if you can use Model 70 style bases. I recently upgraded and don't have any rifles in need of glass. I have the original box and paperwork, not that you need it with the Vortex warranty. Asking $275 firm.

FS: Barnes TTSX .277 130gr - Reduced to $25

On second thought, I'll sell them for $25. $10 of savings is more in line with the effort to make a private sale. -
I am 5'11" and 205. I assume that's close enough. Where are you located?
-
Was it a clarity issue at 20 power, or you just didn't like zooming that close?
-
I know exactly where you hunt pigs in 23 (because I have seen your pics and your truck out there). That area holds mule deer year round.

You have my permission to go out and review them before next Monday. I have strongly considered saving the cash and trying the Vortex, but again, I worry about clarity at high magnification.
-
How is the clarity on targets at 500-600 yards when you have it cranked up to 20?
-
No problem, I want to hear the opinions. My shots on coues are nearly always on a dead rest and typically over 300 yards at an animal that has no idea that I'm there. I want to use this rifle/scope/turret combo to be able to make 500-650 yard shots if needs be. I thought long and hard about going with the 4.5-14, but I just don't know what a deer would look like at 600 yards at 14 power and figured the 20 power was a better bet.
-
To Oneshot's point about 20 power magnification, having used the scope over several seasons, would you go with a lower power?

I will take the "AZ Birds and Deserts" set.

SOLD Bowtech Destroyer 340 package - $450 SOLD

I have had multiple offers for trades, but I need the cash for another project. But, just in case someone has a NIB Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40 with the Varmint Reticle, I'd be willing to kick in additional cash. -

EDIT: Buyer who asked me to hold didnt have the cash after all. Still for sale. I have a potential buyer who will buy if he likes it after shooting it, but he can't do so until early next week. So I'm going to let him hold the first place in line until at least Tuesday. -
I hope that is only a transitional hiccup. I know in Louisiana the Wal Marts have a computer in the Sporting Goods department that the employees use to link to F&G and print you out a nice waterproof license. A lot better than having to print your own from a home computer. It won't be forever, likely only this year. It's a combination of the switch to 365-day licenses as well as their plans to put automated licensing services at vendors such as WalMart. Personally, I like buying it at home online because I can save the license as a pdf and print it for absolutely free if I ever need a duplicate for some reason.

Exactly! When I saw my neighbor rape his younger daughters friend... I didn't say anything because what business is it of mine... The difference is your situation involves a real, identifiable victim. That's harder to see here. I am opposed to drug use and have never even tasted alcohol or tabacco, and I also believe in upholding the law, but there are probably better uses of police time than a couple old hippies with a plant in their garden. Plus, they could be totally ignorant for all we know. When I was in high school there was an old lady down the street with two huge plants in her front garden. She had no idea what they were and didn't pull them because she thought they were pretty. The policeman who noticed them figured some kids had planted some seeds as a prank. They pulled them up and took them away and that was the end of it.

Spring regs just came out. Given the lower numbers of paper applications and the fact that it's nearly impossible to mess up an online application, the Department is doing away with the correction period for the draw. In return, they will now call us several time over a period of two days to ask for alternate cards if our cards are rejected during the draw.
