    270 Win - Savage 110

No problem, but in all fairness, Houge stocks appear to be at least equal parts platic and rubber. :-)

    270 Win - Savage 110

Yes, but it has been cut down for a small shooter and lacks a butt plate.

    270 Win - Savage 110

Monday morning bump. I had someone stand me up yesterday evening (not CWT buyer). Left me waiting for him for an hour in a parking lot after asking that I hold the rifle for him for a day and a half. Anyways, back on the market.

    270 Win - Savage 110

Lots of interest, but no one has the cash quite yet. Celebratory bump in honor of draw results coming out.
  7. REVISED I sold the 243 barrel, so now I'm offering the frame, 223 barrel with forend, and 50 cal barrel with forend for $500. If you want the muzzleloding scope, then add another $100. Do your research, this is a STEAL at $500. You're essentially getting the 223 version of the rifle at a reduced rate (and no tax or transfer fee) and the muzzleloader barrel and forend for free. For those of you expecting to draw a muzzleloader deer tag, this is a kick a$$ muzzleloader. I can't believe the groups I get at 200 yards. CVA apex for sale. Get 3 rifles in one. I took my first Arizona big game with this gun. I hate to sell it, but I need the funds to build my next toy. Like the Encore, the Apex system allows for interchangeable barrels. This package has forearms for both muzzleloader and centerfire barrels. Included are a 50 caliber muzzleloader barrel, a 223 Remington barrel, and a new, unfired 243 Winchester barrel still in the package . I am asking $750 (now 700). The scope is not included, but if you buy the rifle I will sell it for an extra $125 (now 100). It is a Nikon Omega 3-9 muzzleloader scope.

They don't need him to give them the ideas, that's exactly what they're planning to do. Check out the discussion in the Campfire forum on tag surrender and also the Department release on proposed rule amendments. It's disgusting.

Surrender your tag. Here's your chance

You arent wrong. That is how it is written, and is exactly how I described it in my first paragraph. I don't like even the one time exception, but it's better than what they were first proposing at the open houses last year.

Surrender your tag. Here's your chance

I hate the membership idea, but as for the tag surrender, I can only support it if they keep the provision only allowing you to get your bonus points back one time. If they didnt, then the bonus pass would get royally screwed up. For example, say an outfitters wife has max bonus points, and for the sake of argument let's say that max points is 15 points. Say that outfiter has a client who wants to hunt a December whitetail hunt that requires 8 points to get a guaranteed tagged in the bonus pass, but he only has one point. Mr outfitter can, for a fee, offer to put his wife on the application with this potential client. The application would draw in the bonus pass. Mrs outfitter could then surrender her tag, and get her bonus points back. Then, the next year they do it all over again, this time one more point than they had the year before. Only allowing a reinstatement of points time before they reset will alleviate this potential abuse. I don't like it, but it is better than nothing. And don't say that this would never happen. My wife has 10 points at the moment. I would do it. I would be guaranteed a December 24B tag every single year for me or my children. All I would have to do is put my wife on the application and then surrender her tag time and time again. If her points never reset then she just continues to get higher and higher in the bonus pass.

    A Little Pre-Draw Results Research

That's correct. If he doesn't harvest, he can have a tag signed over to him.

  14. I love the Redfield Revolution scopes. I own six of them. I don't think there is a better entry-level priced scope out there. Clarity and eye relief are amazing. The one I have on my AR (not this one) was dropped three times last season (only once by me). It's still dead on. This scope is all you need for standard cartridges used for realistic hunting distances. It's also great for youth rifles, given the generous eye relief. Also included is a set of low Warne Maxima weaver style rings. I sold a rifle and have an extra one just sitting in the safe. I'm open to trades if the trade is for $150 cash.
  15. 4% = more than 2,000 fall tags. That's a lot of phone calls. I would be interested to know (and Game and Fish could probably never know this) how many cards are rejected due to fraud, bad expiration dates, etc., vs how many are rejected because the applicant hit his credit limit between application date and draw date.

CVA Apex - now $500 UPDATED (one barrel sold)

I had a question about the scope mounts. Yes, the $500 (non-scope) price includes the one piece mount you see currently on the muzzleloader (it can be switched to the 223 if desired). The 223 barrel comes with a rail on it.

    Cards are getting hit!

Holy crap Bob, you drew an early bull tag in 10!?!? Why didn't you say something sooner? Did you have very many points? Did you have to wait a couple years for it? This is coming as shocking news to all of us. Actually not all of us just you, Bob's been tooting his horn for awhile now! LOL! Yeah, I know. I was ribbing him. We've been hearing about how many elk points he has and how long he's been waiting for a tag for at least three or four years...since before he moved to ND, for sure. We're also well aware of how many deer and sheep point's he got now too. ;-)

Wilderness is whichever agency managed the land before it was designated wilderness. Sometimes it's BLM, sometimes it's Forest Service, sometimes its National Park Service.
