They always seem to come out on opening day of the first general spring turkey hunt.

Long shot, but worth a try... What I have: A sealed box of 168gr .284" LRAB. What I want: A full box of 150gr .284" LRAB or 190gr .308" LRAB Proposed deal: Trade straight across for the 150gr, or I add $5 if you have the 190gr. I'm in the east valley. PM if interested.

The Commission didn't make any changes to the recommended deer regulations at their last meeting, so the final regs for deer should be identical to what you see here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/azgfd-portal-wordpress/azgfd.wp/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/23145655/2018-Fall-Big-Game-Predatory-Furbearing-and-Trapping-Commission-Orders-3-22-2018.pdf

You could have just said "I lost them" and they would have printed duplicates for you. They would have charged you $4 per tag, but at least it would give you the peace of mind.

Congrats! What bullet did she shoot out of the 28 Nosler?

I bought them from Eyeglass World once. I paid through the nose. Ever since I have always gone with Costco. You don't get same day service, but the prices can't be beat for the quality of the lenses you can get.

I've always felt compelled to break apart the rear muscle groups and cut out the lymphnode that's between them. The end result is a rear that is no longer in one, concise piece. It looks like you left the lymphnode in place, was that because you didn't want to break down the muscle groups, or because you don't see any benefit in removing it?

Rumors are that the tags don't stick to themselves either. You may need another way to keep them attached.

Tell the boy that he can get a tag to use in 4A for 10 bucks...it would be a good way to make sure daddy sees him as more than just "some" boy. ;-)

I think it's funny that a hit to the beard puts off a red color, just like a hit to the spine or head. Didn't realize that a pellet to the beard was a lethal shot.

2017 Original Deer Leftover Tag List???
1uglydude replied to rossislider's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
As I recall Sean, there wasn't any leftover tags for where I like to hunt, unit 29. Never saw zero leftovers before. Were there leftovers in other units? Yes, there were in a handful of units. But the number continues to drop each year. And if or when that list is posted up it will be a giant step towards 0 leftovers. Guys putting those as 3rd and 4th choices will scoop up all those undersubscribed tags. I played the leftover game for many years while waiting for a hard to draw tag. A few years ago I got left out in the cold and didn't draw a leftover--I mailed them off when I always had, but the leftovers went so quickly that I didn't draw one. I hated sitting home that fall, so now I just use a third to fifth choice draw on the hunts that I used to pull as leftovers. It's a lot less stressful that way. If I ever draw a strip tag then it will be because it was meant to be, not because I had max points. -
Again, Most of the complaints about this younger generation are a learned trait. Come on man, get "edgucated" on the real world.

Cabelas military discount program seems to be going liberal P.C.
1uglydude replied to hoghntr's topic in The Campfire
Yeah it's kind of weird cuz I don't remember ever buying anything at Bass Pro Shop that they did not give military discount on and Bass Pro Shop had military discount everyday. Cabela's used to only do Veterans Day Memorial Day excetera. Cabela's now does daily military discount if you're registered you have to show proof and have it in the system but considering it's a 5% discount I thought it was kind of weird when they took it away from these items. Matter of fact the list of items is so long I'm not sure what you can buy with military discount except for clothing LOL Buying anything from Bass Pro is like shopping at the airport. Easy to give a discount when you're still bending the customer over. -
I have a buddy who is a forum member on here...can't remember his handle though....his crews do interior and exterior. They are based out of the west valley. Send me a PM and I can give you his number if you're interested.

Have you tried that setup on paper at distance yet? I always mount the triclawps as far back on the action as I can. I don't want any extra pressure causing any torquing or the stock to impact the barrel in any way. I would be nervous having it so far forward on the stock for that reason. It would be hard to make sure you have consistent pressure from use to use...and even shot to shot.

When you buy them at a license dealer it won't make it to their system for some time. They only collect the books every once in a great while, and I have been told that they only enter the licenses into their system like once or twice per year. Truth be told, they have no way of knowing if you purchased a license from a dealer prior to the draw or not. As long as you have a license number you can add that appears to be in the right format, your application will be processed.

Only if the rejected card was for a guy who would have drawn your second choice. They run first and second choices at the same time, then they run third through fifth, and then they charge everyone for all results at the same time--so the timing of the charge doesn't tell you anything.
-
No, it says funds sufficient to cover all "application fees and applicable license fees." It doesn't specifically call out the tag fee. So, as long as you pay the $13 application fee and have a valid license, you're covered.
-
Nearly all of the card hits that come in later days are just from guys who had no clue how to check their pending charges in the first place. 99% of the card hits happen in about a 10-minute time span. The fact that they no longer spend several days trying to contact the client cards makes it even less likely that any charges will come days after the original ones.

I just got hit for junior elk tags

Thinking I'll take a sleeping pill this evening and then set my phone to come off of sleep mode at abut 7am. If I'm lucky, the sound of an incoming email notifying me that my credit card has been charged will be my alarm clock. If I go to bed at 9pm, then it will feel like only 4.5 more hours to me.
