Kodiak Flex Bow tent and Mr buddy heater question.
1uglydude replied to AZHUNTER05's topic in The Campfire
Just a word of caution to those who are relying on the sensor in the Buddy Heaters...it's an O2 sensor, not a carbon monoxide sensor. In theory, you could have dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in your tent and still have enough oxygen that the sensor would not turn off the heater. -
Suggestions on finding a new camp in the dark

How often do you have to use that word to get your autocorrect to default to it? -
Hey guys, I'm new to unit 125 and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for some places to start scouting. Not looking for anyone's honey holes, just some general areas.

Barnes bullets come in packages of 50, not 100?

Hey Egde. Can you clear some space in your PM box?

That's not how it works. You don't add one point to your total to see where you fall in terms of max points and/or the bonus pass....otherwise there wouldn't be applicants listed as having "zero" points on the draw reports--they would be listed as having one point.

You need to fight it for two reasons: First, as has already been said, this is a Class 2-level offense and they need to fix that. Second, the language about "should assume to be occupied" is commentary and advice from the Department in the regulations. It is not found anywhere in the statute. The element of occupation (whether it is a legal, factual, or a combined legal/factual question...which is the source of the debate above) is still an element that the Department needs to prove. It is not your burden to disprove it unless they come to court with the evidence they need to support their case.

Great deal. Wish I were driving through Tucson sometime soon.

I'll take seconds if he falls through.

As long as you list it as your only choice or as both your first and second choice, then your odds are going to be greater than 50%...probably more like 70%.

23 archery is the hardest javelina tag to draw. If you want any of the 23 hunts, then you need to list 23 as your only choice, or list the same 23 hunt as your first and second choices. Lots of guys complain that they can never draw 23, but that's because they list an easier draw as their second choice and they end up getting that second choice draw in the bonus pass--meaning that they never even got considered for their first choice.

I've been in 4B. Thursday was by far the most active day. I missed the bull of my life by rushing the release. (He had split 3rds on left side too.) Friday only saw and heard a single bull and a handful of cows. Saturday morning was stone cold dead. I came home to wait out the weekend campers and the storm. Will head back up Monday night to hunt the last three days. Hoping the action picks up again.

Yes, he could get two youth tags from different hunt numbers. 18B and 17B are different tags/hunt numbers, so he could do that.

when an average hunter gets a strip tag. In the field updates

There are only 25 total tags. One outfitter has 20% of the tags and is swinging a goose egg? -
Never thought i would turn this tag back in

Even longer if every year a handful of max point guys turn their tags back in. 🙂 -
...and which is precisely why it takes YEARS for people to "game" the system more than once. It takes more than just max points for the person with the higher amount of points.
-
After you have used it once, the next time you draw you are going to have to forfeit your points...period. Yes, you could start building points again after that and do it again, but if the concern is that guys are using PG to draw difficult tags, you're talking 10, 15, or 20 years down to the road to be able to build up enough points to bust far enough into the bonus pass to be able to lift up another applicant who hasn't applied long enough to be there on his own.
-
There was discussion of this when they established it...and that's why you are allowed to pointguard a tag back once and still get your points back. So, there are already rules in place to keep it from being abused.

Lost tag can be replaced at any license dealer. Doesn't have to be a Department Office. Each dealer should have a book for duplicates in which you sign the affidavit. It works for lost non-permit tags as well as draw tags--though sometimes the teenager working the counter doesn't realize that.

It's a new wildlife violation. You have to read the details above it. They use the traffic citation complaint form for wildlife citations in justice court. Look at the two counts: 1) take in a closed season, and 2) excess bag limit
-
No dice...her grandfather drew it.

There's only one tag in each of those units, so you're not competing with anyone...no reason for anyone to be tight lipped. I have a friend who had those same two units as his choices, and he got charged. So obviously you got one and he got the other.

Holy smokes! Well that certainly lowers the odds that 43B was the unit we pulled.
