Sacred my butt. Did you see Roger Rule on discovery channel, have "the custom shop" in Montana build a custom stock for model 70. Roger Rule wrote the article "the Riflemans Rifle" that brought a lot of attention to the model 70. I will buy a .270 this year and get a stellar stock made! Hopefully from levers!

What would it cost to refinish a stock like those? I have refinished a Garand, but that does not have the checkering!

I have a top and 1/2 front, and nothing on the back. No dust problems.
