I agree, I doubt it will make any difference on the draw odds for my family or I. I just like to try convince myself otherwise.

Also, I suggest downloading some of the most recent podcast from Jay Scott Outdoors. They talked a lot about the draw and the new rule changes.

As a non-resident, I would estimate most of the late rifle elk huts will probably take you 8-10 points to draw for max points. With the new rules, you now have a chance, a slim chance, but a chance to be drawn with few to no points. In the past you really didn't have any chance of being drawn without max points. I've used full and half windshields. IMO the full causes dust to swirl inside the cab more. I prefer the half as the top half being open allows for a better draft to blow dust out.

Hatchery trout are terrible!

Those Idaho brown fillets are some of the best eating fish I've ever had!

I like to fish for them up in Idaho on the Snake where they encourage you to keep them due to their aggressive nature. The native cutthroat and even the rainbow population up there has been negatively impacted by the browns.
