    My new baby

Nice setup! If the draw gods smile on me here in the next few weeks, I'll be upgrading my setup as well. I might even if I don't draw. Over the past couple of weeks I thought I had shot and tested just about every bow out there, but missed this one. I'll have to go back to Bear Mountain and check it out. Of the bows I tried the top four were the Hoyt Defiant, Matthews Halon, Prime Rize, and Elite Impulse. Of these four the Rize and Impulse are the clear leaders. I found these two bows to feel and shoot extremely similar making my choice really tough! Both are super smooth, almost zero vibration, ridiculously solid back walls, and let off that you can hold all day. Hard to beat Prime's deal of free new strings every two years for life, I love the Kuiu Verde pattern of the Impulse, the back and forth list goes on and on. Going to be a tough decision.

Vortex Razor HD 12x50 and 10x42

I think your pricing is pretty good, and I consider these to be great optics. I think there have been a lot of these sold on here lately (I sold my Razor 12x50s on here a few weeks ago). That might be why you haven't gotten more response. After the draw I think more people will be in the market.
  9. I won't make it to this one hopefully Ammon comes up to Show Low to do a seminar otherwise learn all you can so you can teach me something. If you are counting on me to teach you something, we are both in a lot of trouble.
  10. Awesome! I plan to be there.

    Bino harness

+1 for Badlands. I've been using it for a few years now. Holds and protects the binos very well, and I love the quick and easy magnetic closure. It also has room for a few small items like my smart phone.

    Just Wondering

Maybe stick a similar size bag or block of ice in each, keep them in the same place at the same temperature, and do a day by day comparison of how the ice is holding up?

Looking for a good Crossbow broadhead

They aren't specifically crossbow heads, but I have an assortment of 100 grain expandables if you want to try a few out before spending any money. I have Swhackers, Ulmer Edge, and a few others I can't recall right now. I can check later if you are interested in trying any of them out.

    Thawing, grinding, and refreezing?

At Walmart I buy a 3 pound package of bacon end cuts and scrap pieces for around $7. I grind one of those per 25-30 pounds of meat. It makes outstanding burger.
  20. Just now got around to uploading the video, also posted at the top of the page. I should also mention that Jed took this video at a distance of over 700 yards through a Swaro spotter.

    Thawing, grinding, and refreezing?

I had the same concern when I started processing my own meat and did a lot of research. You shouldn't have any problems, especially since you know the history of the meat. It might be a greater concern for store bought meat because you have no way of knowing how many times that meat might have been thawed, left out sitting, etc. I have a 3/4 HP LEM grinder, and it chews through frozen meat like warm butter. I've found that it is easiest to cut up, grind, etc if you let it thaw just slightly. Do this so it is not like cutting a solid block of ice. Completely thawed meat doesn't cut as nicely, and it is more difficult to feed through the grinder. Partially frozen meat also helps to keep the grinder cool. Good luck!!! Here are a couple of threads from some of my meat processing adventures. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/56953-sausage-fest-and-meat-grinder-review/?hl=%2Bsausage+%2Bfest http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/61419-long-day-of-processing-meat/

    withdraw my elk application

How many points are you at and for which hunt? Unless you are at or near max points, I'd just take my chances with the draw.

    Hoyt charger

Great deal! Doubt it will last long. I'd probably jump on it had I not just recently shot the Prime Rize. All I can think about now is how to come up with the funds to get one. Good luck with your sale.
