These camps are awesome! If there is one going on in you unit, I'd definitely go. My 11 year old son drew his second cow tag. Last year it was a late cow. This year it is the youth hunt. We will be in unit 1.

No idea what the Karma Inlay is, but if I were a candidate for Lasik, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I hate wearing glasses! Mom mom and all my siblings had Lasik, and every one of them love it. Unfortunately I had to be the one with the astigmatism that is just a hair past the threshold that makes me ineligible.

I have one of these. For that price I don't think you can get a better setup. Very sturdy (will support 11 pounds) and weighs in at about 4.6 pounds. I've used it for glassing and to shoot off of using The Claw. The head is surprisingly really good and smooth for the price range. I want to upgrade to a Manfrotto head (500 AH) and Slik legs (723CF). But as good as this tripod is, I haven't been able to justify it. Might have to get myself the new setup and pass the Vanguard to my son. Great deal for someone wanting a good tripod at a reasonable price.

With 18 points I think he is probably guaranteed it is archery. I don't think 18 is max points for rifle but definitely is for archery so he would not have made it to the random draw for the rifle hunt. There could have been a little point creep though. 18 would've gotten a 23n archery tag wouldn't it? Hope he got 3a/c rifle but I think these guys are right that he prob didn't have a chance at it. 18 would have gotten it for you last year, but it was right on the bubble. It looks like one person with 17 got it last year, but several did not. My guess is there was some downward point creep this year due to the non-resident change. I would guess you did get the 23n archery tag.

There is a turkey calling seminar this coming Friday night at the Mesa Sportsmans Warehouse. Ammon from Little Creek Calls will be doing the seminar. If you are in the area, I highly recommend it.

I'm not asking for honey holes. I'm just planning to draw a 6A tag and expecting 6ANUT to chain one to a tree for me.

It seems that some banks and credit card companies show charges immediately while others may take a day or two. I know my Chase card has always shown hits immediately, but Desert Schools tends to take a day. If you have been charged, please post what bank or credit card company it was. It might help some of us to maintain hope, or move on with our miserable day.

I believe it is all done in one day. The difference being that it doesn't show with some banks for a day or two.

I was told a while back by a game and fish rep that ALL charges and submitted to the bank at the same time. Call your banks and see if there is a pending charge. My card dosent show a hit but i called and there is one pending. I was also told the only hits that come later are ones with Card issues. Other than that it is just how quickly the banks report it This has been my experience as well. My Chase cards shows hit immediately, but Desert Schools takes a while. I've given up on the app that had the Chase card, but I'm holding out hope for BofA and Desert Schools until I hear people are getting hits show up from those two.

Seems Desert Schools tends to show up a day or more later. I wouldn't lose hope. Chase shows up quick. If you used a Chase card and haven't been hit, might be time for the tears.

Well this sucks, I've always been charged in the first couple of minutes or not at all.

I've read what Blake posted and don't quite get how this turned into an A3 bashing session. It seems to me they are a pretty top notch outfitter. While I've never hunted with them, I have run into members of their crews while hunting. They have always gone out of their way to be respectful and helpful. On one of my most recent hunts, one of their guys came upon us just as I glassed up my buck. He offered to hang out and watch him for us while we moved into a shooting position. He also recorded it for me and made sure I got the recording. Total class act.

Yet another item about which I ask myself, "Why didn't you think of that?"

I'll be at the turkey camp in a 1/27 again this year with my son. We went for the first time last year and had a great experience. It was a rough, cold, windy, and snowy weekend for us last year. I think the weather will be better this year. Hope to see you up there.
