Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but I think we are going to start see the credit card chagrining for the elk and antelope draw Friday morning around 7:00-8:00 AM. Went over my checklist today to make sure I am ready: All credit/debit cards used for the various members of my tribe are current and have plenty of funds? Check Set text alerts for any charges $90 or greater on all cards? Check Called all bank and card companies to have a note put on the account to approve any and all charges from Arizona Game and Fish? Check Cleared my work schedule Friday morning so I can check my cards every 30 seconds? Check Going to be a long week…

Do you guys have a good and cheap FFL you ship to in the east valley? -
The last two draw cycles happening the following morning are why. No need to wait a few days, evething is probably already in the system and most likely has been for days. In fact, the longer they wait, the more problems they will have. Good chance the draw has already happened, but can't start charging cards till the cc update deadline passes.

I have a buddy who had a pest control business for years. He has now converted his full service business to a DIY business. He helped me a lot and gave me a lot of great info several years back when we had a major scorpion problem. Shoot me a PM if interested in more details.

Yep, the one in the middle is yours. Turned out great. Almost as good as that sausage you gave us to try. Thanks! -

Finished up the first batch this morning and I was really impressed with the job he did, better than many that I have seen "professionally" done. Thanks for all the support, I'm already working out the details with a number of you for the next batch.- 35 replies

If you can wait till I get off work around 5:30 it would be on my way home from work. I'd be happy to swing by and give you a hand. No money necessary.

If you use Craigslist, I highly recommend looking over the RV before giving any money. I've rented off of Craigslist going off of pictures that must have been 10+ years old. RV and owner turned out to be total crap.

Some good suggestions here. But I'd recommend setting your money aside and adding a few bucks a month for a year or so until you can get something a little bit better. You can start getting into some pretty good factory rifles in the $500-$600 range (Tikka T3, Savage, Weatherby Vanguard). I see some of these rifles in here on occasion in the $400-$500 range. I definitely think it would be worth waiting a bit. Next time you are in a rifle shop try sliding the action open and closed on a budget level rifle versus one of those I mentioned and you will notice a big difference right off the bat on the action alone.

This stuff tends to happen when they are resetting and getting ready for the draw and results. You are probably fine, but I would call AZGFD to confirm.

Do you keep a log or just have an impressive memory? I wish my memory were that good. I just did a search on this website for the old posts saying that regs were out. Took about 30 seconds.

I bought this tripod and center post extension directly from Outdoorsmans last summer and have used it on a few hunts. It has very minimal usage wear and is in perfect working condition. New Retail for the tripod is $479.99 New retail for the center post extension is $99.99 Asking $400 for both. Prefer to sell locally. Will post pictures this evening. https://outdoorsmans.com/collections/outdoorsmans-tripod-system/products/outdoorsmans-tall-tripod https://outdoorsmans.com/products/outdoorsmans-center-post-extension-long?variant=4164554753

My family and I had a great time. We were super excited to see Ammon win the shotgun. My son was the one who got to pull his winning ticket out of the bucket and was super glad that he got the right one.

I've had great and terrible experiences. It can be a little Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde there. To paraphrase Forest Gump, Bear Mountain is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Just expect it going in. If it is firearms related +100 for Healy's. Fantastic customer service!

I've done that with other powders and bullets. I've never had issues as long as the bullet weights are the same.

Are they going to make it with a straight viewer?

I do my own elk and deer, but really didn't want to mess with my son's javelina from last month. I took it to Miller's Southwest Processing in Queen Creek. I think they may be a site sponsor? Anyhow, I was really please with what I got back. They do a flat $95 for a javelina and will mix it with regular pork to make whatever you want. You will get back about 30 lbs (if you are looking to do javelina). I did a mix of snack sticks (like a Slim Jim the diameter of a penny) and summer sausage. Both turned out awesome, probably too good. I have only had it back a week and my kids are about 7-8 pounds through the 15 pounds of snack sticks we got. If you go with them, go with some black pepper and some jalapeno snack sticks. The jalapeno and cheddar summer sausage is also money. Just be sure to ask them to cut the 3 pound summer sausages into thirds before wrapping and freezing. That way you don'y have to defrost a giant 3 pound stick all at once. -

Thank you for all of the offers and encouragement from everyone. With what has been offered thus far we have at least several javelina skulls and some coyotes which should get him started an keep him busy for a little while.
