Building towards a great hunt vs walking around with a bow not seeing elk. Tough one.

Has to do with all that anti nonsense from last year with the mountain lions. For example, this past year they had to cap the number of lions that could be taken in the various units. To be proactive against the next assault from the antis they are predicting later this year, they instituted a cap on the number of allowable applicants for all game species. Sucks, but it had to be done.

I talked with a lady down at AZGFD this morning. The instituted a cap on applicants this year and reached it yesterday morning. If you didn't get in you have to wait until next year.

You can get a Cannon safe in that range. They aren't fancy and the interior is where it really show, but they will keep your guns secure.

Congratulations! Sounds like a good time. You guys going to make it down to the East Valley Tom's banquette this year? I hear Bill may be there. 😂 🤣 😂

Just for the picture! The rest of the time I was jamming out to T-Swift!😂

Don't know about that, but about 3 years ago I publicly proclaimed myself the worst pig hunter in the state. Since then we have knocked down 5 of them. I'm ready to give someone else my title.

You could probably do without the ugly guy in back. Fortunately he has a shadow over his face.

Congratulations guy. Solid crew right there!

Side note, I love this site. But it drives me nuts how it rotates pictures sideways.

Two of the best out there for sure, but my nod would go to the 7mm. Primarily for a slightly flatter shooting bullet.

Hey Andrew, I don't suppose you know if this will fit up underneath the truck in the spare compartment?

I've seen a lot of companies come out with a knock off of the Honda for a lot less. I think that is really driving the price down. My buddy bought the Ryobi version. But it is hard to beat a Honda engine for quality.

In the long run, I think this is going to be a winner for AZGFD as they no longer have to kick some of the money back to retailers and will keep 100% of the fee in-house. While retailers are making a little more per license/tag, I think they will lose out. More people will buy online from AZGFD and, more importantly, retailers are going to lose out on the extras people would buy at the retailers when they stopped in to buy their license (bullets, bait, camping gear, groceries, etc.). It was rare that I ever went into a store and picked up my license/tag without buying something else. Same reason stores do sales without making money on the sale items, it gets people in to doors and then they buy the regular priced stuff as well.

With the exception of OTC tags, I don't know why anyone wouldn't buy the licenses online. I just did my annual purchase of $200+ in licenses, and I have a lifetime license so didn't even need one! 😫

I think the Vanguard 264 AO will be your best bet in that price range.

There is always a chance, but with 3 points it is pretty terrible in just about any unit.

I was told by my taxidermist to use a feather duster for dusting my bird mounts. I have used it on my other mounts as well. It seems to do a good job for basic dusting. If thst doesn't work, I would used pressurized air.

Prayers for a quick and treatable diagnosis.

Congrats! Sounds like a lot of fun.

If you are reading this and know my son Draysen, shhhh!!! He is at school and doesn't know yet, but I can't contain my excitement! Justin from NWTF -Arizona called me just a little while ago to let me know that Draysen is this year's winner of their annual JAKES essay contest! He and his chaperone (me of course!!!) will get flown to Nashville for the annual convention in February, and then to Kansas in April where he will get an all expenses paid turkey hunt. I'm so dang excited I can barely contain it!

$45 yesterday at Walmart. No extra fee.
