Based on what you said, it sounds like you have walked way to much and not stopped and looked enough. If they are in there, and it sounds like they are, get to a high point and glass. It might take hours, but they will show themselves. It is definitely a cliche, but you can't out walk your eyes. I once sat a ridge from sun up until around 3:00 PM, when I finally found them, becuase I was confident they were there.

My fear was that my wife would activate the new cards (we each have one) and not tell me.

I just got my new card last Friday. The old one was "good thru 3/19". But I wasn't willing to chance anything. So I activated the new card, tested it to make sure it worked (bought something), and went online and switched cards. Maybe the new card will bring me luck. The old one hasn't done much for me.

My son has been granted a rare opportunity to participate in the Kansas Governor's One Shot Hunt in a couple of months. This past weekend we were able to meet with some of the great people who put on the hunt. We mentioned to them that we are considering doing full body taxidermy on a bird, if he gets a good one, to remember the occasion. I asked about taxidermists local to the area of the hunt, but she recommended having a taxidermist back home do the work due to shipping risks and costs. I have a few questions for anyone with experience transporting a full bird on a plane: How did you transport it? Cooler- How big does it need to be and any issues with the airline? How long would an average sized eastern bird be when frozen? In a suitcase? We have access to a freezer and should be able to freeze the bird before coming home? Would we be better off freezing, wrapping in blankets, and placing it a suitcase? What else should we know and consider? Thank you in advance for your help.

I have never attempted it on a turkey amd won't be experimenting on this one. No way of knowing who else doing the One Shot might know.

Dang, we are headed to Nashville for the NWTF convention and get back into Phoenix around noon on Saturday. I would really like to do this. Also have 37B HAM tags. Might try to get out Saturday later in the afternoon if we get home in good time.

Took my wife out today, we both have tags. Didn't see any pigs. Lots of desert muleys. It was frustrating because she has had a nightmare of a week and we couldn't get out until today. I was really hoping to come through for her. ☹️
