Here was another guy who didn't make our list. He responded to my bugle about a quarter mile out so I snuck into about 100 yards and challenged him (he had cows) and he came the rest of way.

I've been up bouncing back and forth helping a few different hunters in units 3B, 3A, and 3C over the past few weeks. As far as rut activity, it has been pretty terrible. I looked at a lot of bulls, none quite so eager for love as this youngster who I inadvertently (at first) drew in on a string from 500 yards across a steep canyon. I was initially just trying to draw him out of his tree cover to get a look at him, but after 20 minutes of back and forth bugling without him budging, I gave one chirp on the cow call, and he was on a mission. Since he was coming, and wasn't going to make our hit list, I decided to have some fun.

I talked to a biologist from AZGFD this past weekend. They just received a study back showing elk are susceptible to a strain of COVID which causes the cows to not cycle. Might be a big part of the problem!!!

Interested in 7MM and the 6.5 if still available. Where are you located?
-
Since you can install and remove yourself at home, if you did have to send in for warranty work, it looks like you could pop it out yourself and return to standard factory mode without Swarovski knowing otherwise.
-
I received an email from Outdoorsmans back when the NLs were first announced saying they would have the warranty stuff all squared away with Swarovski by the time they were shipping. It wold probably be worth calling them to verify.

Posting this on for my son Draysen. He is a sophomore at ALA - Queen Creek High School. On Friday his entrepreneurship class teacher gave each student a piece of cardboard. Each student had the weekend to trade up that cardboard for something, and continue to trade until class on Monday. Family is not permitted to trade with. If they can get up to a $50 valued object, they are guaranteed an "A" grade for the project. Eight trades in and he has definitely surpassed the $50 mark. However, the student with the high value object for the class gets to pick his/her group for a semester long project. He won't admit it directly, but I am pretty certain their is a young lady or two he would really like to group up with. Here is the object he is currently looking to trade. If it interests you and you feel you have something of greater value towards his project, please let me know. All transactions must be completed by the tomorrow (8/23) evening. Please PM offers. It is his project, so he is the one you will be trading with. I will update this post with any new trade items. This is cross posted on other social media. Thanks Current item: Solid maple entertainment center. I had to help him more this from the second floor of the person's house. So I can attest to it being HEAVY and solid. Two pieces, top and bottom. Good condition with a few scratches. 26D x 47w x 86h

I'll be headed up tomorrow night to help out a few hunters and will be bouncing back and forth between 3C and 3B. Can't wait!!!

Help With High School Trade-Up Project (Update)
rossislider replied to rossislider's topic in The Campfire
Thanks. He finished the project at $250 and won the top spot for the class by $10. He was able to pick his group for the semester and surprisingly enough ended up with 3 pretty little girls as his group mates.🤣 For their big project for the semester, they are supposed to become "entrepreneurs" and, as a group, make the money possible through any number of businesses. Last week they sold doughnuts in the parking lot before school. Stuff like that. Fortunately for his group, my son already has his own legit business that they are allowed to use. So his euro mount business will now not only contribute to his pocket book, but also his grade. Speaking of which, he updated his FAQs and pricing for this season for any interested. The only pricing change for this season is a small increase to javelina and large predators. -
Awesome hunt Houston. Sounds like a great time. Congats on your solid buck and Jeremy's beast!

Does this type of thing happen often from storage facilities? -
Let me know if it is still around next weekend. I will be up there and would like to take a look.

Awesome! Hopefully an area you are already familiar with?

This should be a a no brainer, pick up the phone and call Dave right now! I would.

Help With High School Trade-Up Project (Update)

You hit the nail on the head. 5-10 years ago I would have encouraged him to join this group. There are still some GREAT people on here, but the know it all trolls, who have nothing to contribute besides jacka$$ery, can't help but shoot their mouths off every 5 minutes anymore. -

I'm sure you won multiple father of the year awards. I'll be sure to message you for parenting advice from here on out. -
Help With High School Trade-Up Project (Update)

His, he isn't a member on here. So I told him I would post for him. Aside from me posting and helping him move the entertainment center. This is 100% him. But, if you don't know that parents deserve probably at least 50% credit for most school projects, you clearly don't have kids! 🤣 -

Also, he gets to keep the final item. So hunting gear (especially archery) would be pretty cool. -
Sent you a PM. I'll walk you through what we did last yeat to get our R10 dialed in for my son. We have it shooting at 100 yards with rifle accuracy. The purple X shows his point of aim, the arrow and red dots are his 3 shot group. 5-10 mph wind from 100 yards.

Still have a bunch of cards left if anyone is interested. The free oil change alone exceeds the value of the card (not to mention the DQ, Bahama Bucks, etc.). Thanks
