*pics added* Tikka t3 Lite .270 + Vortex viper 4-12x40 $850 obo

Nice set up if you are in the in the market. I love my Tikka t3 7-08 stainless/Vortex combo. This is probably $200 - $300 below retail. I'd probably switch the stock rings out for Talleys. Good luck with the sale! -
Sadly, I won't be prepping for my own hunt but I'll still be spending a good amount of time in the area from Greens Peak over to Big Lake in late July and August. Better than nothing I guess.

I put in for unit 1 and once again drew jack squat! Don't take it personal, but I hate you all for at least a couple of days.
-
I've fished it from the shore and in a boat. Always had better luck from the shore.

I doubt there was much of a winter kill this year so it should be good for some holdovers this early on. I don't believe they will start stocking for another month or so. You might not catch large numbers but they should be good quality. My family and I love Knoll lake compared to the other rim lakes. Most people don't want to make the drive in so it gets a lot less crowded.

I'm thinking that this go around seems to have been a big mess. As such I would totally be in favor of refunding any cards that were charged and redoing the whole draw.

Average Joe is right on. The triggers they have been putting on the Senderos for the past few years are terrible. I put a Timney on mine. -
Sportsmans Mesa Optics Counter SUCKS !!!!!
rossislider replied to rezmedic's topic in Optics and tripods
Not sure if you are referring to me average joe, but if you are, I sincerely hope the guy does read this. Maybe he doesn't realize what a jerk he is to customers and needs it pointed out to him. He's probably a great father, husband, neighbor, etc. I really don't know??? All I know is that any time I have dealt with him he has been either rude, condescending, really couldn't be bothered to assist me, etc. -
Sportsmans Mesa Optics Counter SUCKS !!!!!
rossislider replied to rezmedic's topic in Optics and tripods
I have to agree with many on here. Of the big outdoors stores I get the best service (BY FAR) at Sportsman's. I go to Bass Pro quite a bit as I work a couple of miles down the street, but with the exception of Stan in the archery department, Bass Pro's service is terrible. I know and recognize this, so my expectations are very low for service at Bass Pro. As such it doesn't bother me. With the exception of a heavy set white haired gentleman at the gun counter at the Sportman's in Mesa (I've worked with this guy a few times and he has always been a complete tool), everyone there has been very friendly and eager to assist me. I usually do my own research on high dollar items well in advance of purchasing, and so really don't rely on the sales reps for knowledge, just service and friendliness. -

I was just going to suggest an athletic cup for double lunger14. But that's because his prediction isn't looking so good.

Please recommend a reliable East Valley gunsmith/sight installer

Lance Johnson. He is the shop owner of Dane Customs. Be sure to call or text him before going down to make sure he is there. He usually doesn't answer the phone, but is pretty prompt about returning calls. 480-215-2295 -

I've also used Keith at Phoenix Custom. He does a good job. That said I prefer Lance at Dane Customs. Side by side I have found Lance's work to be a bit cleaner and more precise. For an example of what I mean check out this thread: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/40519-a-couple-of-new-muzzle-brakes/ The Badger Thruster on my 300 RUM Sendero was done by Keith. The Shrewd on my 7mm-08 Tikka was done by Lance. Notice what a great job Lance did of blending the barrel and the brake together. You cannot tell where one ends and the other starts. This is typical of Lance's work. Keith also did a good job, and I am very happy with the brake. But he didn't give quite the same level of attention to the aesthetics of the brake/barrel. Lance is in Chandler just off of AZ Ave (Country Club) and Elliot. -
This is the text conversation I had with my buddy I put in with for elk. I may need a new hunting buddy...

Sadly this is no joke and the repercussions will last for many many April Fool's Days to come.

What caliber are you shooting?I am working on my Sendero in 7 mag. Put a Jewell trigger on it. Fine shooting rifle. I am not quite at 1/2 moa for 200 yds yet. Need to find the right load still. I'm shooting a 300 RUM with 210 Bergers and Retumbo. I put a Timney on it but haven't had a chance to shoot since swapping the triggers out. My buddy shoots a Sendero 7mm mag with Reloader 22 and 168 Bergers with fantastic results. -

I bought one last year. I'm still fine tuning my load, but on my first load work up I'm under 1/2 moa at 200 yards. -
Yep it was over monday. ...... Tuesday they started calling people who's cards got declined...... If they call those who's cards were declined and the issue is not solved they will move on to another person who would then be drawn! Therefore it's not over until results post!Basically what I just said. But you also need to realize that with AZGFD calling to correct invalid card information, there will be very few tags to reassign. Probably have a better chance of winning the Powerball. Additionally, AZGFD would be making 3 attempts to call these people over a 48 hour period. Assuming they called most of these people on Monday, the 48 hours period has expired and these tags have likely already been reassigned.
-
With the possible exception of a few more who get the tags of those whose cards didn't go through and can't be reached, its over.
-
Nice try, but the egregious grammatical error in the title suggests one shouldn't give much credence to the post.
-
No guarantees, but I have it from a source who I consider to be pretty reliable that results will likely be posted tomorrow. Not good news for those of us whose credit cards have not been charged.
-
Thanks, I like the idea but he won't be 10 until September. One way or another I'm going to get him out hunting this fall. If not elk than deer, and if neither of those work out I'll get him out predator calling.
-
My oldest son will turn 10 in September and has been chomping at the bit for his first hunt since he was 3. My wife, dad, and I all agreed that if he doesn't draw anything, but one of us does (outside of archery) the tag will get transferred to him. Pretty good odds and still nothing so far. He is going to be waiting by the door to ask me about cc charges first thing when I get home from work tonight. This is getting depressing!
