Smoking deal! Must be the older model (which a lot of people prefer). Doesn't look like my new one.

Usually means they only had the one box left. Glad you were able to get one.

I think Berger must have just done a big batch of them as just today I have seen a few online places get them instock. Order quick, they will be gone soon.

Need Help with choosing .243 or 7mm-08 Remington/Savage or Ruger???
rossislider replied to Stallone A.'s topic in Youth Hunters
I have a Tikka T3 in 7-08 for my 10 year old. He is probably slightly taller than the average 10 year old. He handles the rifles fine. It is a light weight riffle so he can carry it without problems. Doesn't seem to have any problems shooting it either. I hesitate to buy a youth model rifle that will likely be outgrown a couple of years after they start hunting. -
Nicely done! Congratulations!

My buddies and I were uncertain of this as well. The regs basically read that you have to have a valid license on the deadline day for the draw you are applying for. We wanted to be certain so called AZGFD for clarification. Essentially this is what we learned. Since the spring deadline date is October 14, 2014, your current license is fine as long as it expires on October 15, 2014 or later. You will need a current license at the time of the hunt, if drawn. So basically you can use your 2014 license to apply for all spring drawings and don't need to buy another until your first 2015 hunt, which would then be good for one year from that date. It can be confusing, but you don't need to pay for double licenses.

Nicely done!

I used hot glue for mine. Seems to hold well but is also fairly east to remove if I need to redo it.

Sounds like a great trip! Congratulations to all.

Congrats! Your crew has been busy hunting the past several weeks!

WTS Eberlestock J107 Dragonfly Pack and Accessories *Updated*
rossislider posted a topic in Classified Ads
I'm selling my Eberlestock J107 Dragonfly pack. It is in like new condition and was used in one hunt where it sat with me for a few days in a ground blind last year. Unfortunately for me, but fortunate for you, no meat was carried out in the pack is essentially brand new. It is Mossy Oak Brush in pattern/color. Also included are two add on accessories: The matching butt bucket for your bow. The Super Spike Duffel attachment (still in new unopened package). The pack is extremely versatile and will convert from a 2900 c.i. pack, to 4900 c.i. when fully opened, to 7900 c.i. when you attach the Super Spike Duffel. Check out the link for more information: http://www.eberlestock.com/J107%20Dragonfly.htm I paid just over $500 for the setup new. I am asking $350 OBO for this virtually new setup. The only marks that might lead you to believe that the pack is not brand new are on the butt bucket bow attachment area where some of my bowstring wax rubbed off on the bag (see last picture below). -
Would love to do this one day, but wouldn't know where to start, go, etc. We need to get a CWT trip planned.

Need Help with choosing .243 or 7mm-08 Remington/Savage or Ruger???
rossislider replied to Stallone A.'s topic in Youth Hunters
Not what you asked, but I would go with a Tikka T3. I got one in a 7-08 for my wife and kids. Awesome gun! I've never had a Savage so I won't speak to that. Unless you go high end with Remington, I think their quality has dropped. Also, the 243 might shoot a little flatter, but the 7-08 will have a lot more energy on impact. -
Anyone seen this nice propaganda piece: http://sfglobe.com/?id=14064&src=share_fb_new_14064 I'd question anyone who can't tell an elk from a deer.

WTS MotorGuide 55lbs. Thrust Trolling Motor

Looking to sell my MotorGuide 55lbs. thrust trolling motor. It is the 36" model seen at the link below. It is in excellent condition and has less than 6 trips to the lake on it. I also have an extra 2 blade ninja style prop for it (not pictured). Lots of power, my 14' aluminum Lowe boat really cruised through the water (even into the wind) with this motor. Asking $175 obo Located in Queen Creek http://www.cabelas.com/product/Boating/Electric-Trolling-Motors/Transom-Mount%7C/pc/104794380/c/104716980/sc/104645880/MotorGuidereg-VariMax-55-HT-Transom-Mount-Motors/1166857.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ftransom-mount%2Fmotorguide%2F_%2FN-1100546%2B1000004067%2FNe-1000004067%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104645880%3FWT.srch%3D1%26WT.tsrc%3DPPC%26rid%3D20%26WT.mc_id%3DGOOGLE%7Cboa_Electric%2BTrolling%2BMotors_Transom%2BMount_MOT%7CUSA%26WT.z_mc_id1%3D43700005057407305%26gclid%3DCMnfp9_kgcECFZGYfgod9yIAfQ%26gclsrc%3Dds&WTz_l=PPC%3Bcat104645880

Dang, I would have been in on this raffle. Wish ! hadn't missed it. -
I've hunted bear with Cody and would do it again in a heartbeat. He works hard for his clients. https://www.guidefitter.com/fulldrawguides

I don't usually hunt with guides because for the most part it is not in the budget, but have on a couple of special occasions. Best guide I have ever hunted with worked his butt of for me and probably cared more about me killing than I did, and I cared a lot. I tipped him about 10% because that's all I had. He earned that and more even though we never saw or found a bear. I've only ever hunted with one other guide. I don't want to bash him or go into detail, but and he made me appreciate the first guy even more than I already did. Bottom line, IMO the tip has little to do with harvesting an animal and everything to do with how hard the guide works to make sure you have a great experience. If you find a good guide, treat him well as you will probably want to hunt with him again.

I have a 14' (model 1457) Lowe boat that hasn't seen much use the past few years so I'm thinking about selling it, but have no idea of the fair asking price. Anyone have any suggestions of what fair price might be? The boat is in great condition but has sat for the past few years so the tags are expired (I believe it is $22 to renew). I do not have a boat trailer and use my ATV trailer (not for sale). It goes not have a gas motor. I have a Motor Guide trolling motor in excellent condition. I believe it is 55 lbs thrust, but will verify later this evening. I can sell together or separate. Will throw in all the extras that I have (life jackets, ropes, anchor, etc.) It is not the boat pictured below but is essentially identical. Thanks for your input.

What is Fair Asking Price for a 14' Lowe Boat???
rossislider replied to rossislider's topic in Fishing
I had a buyer and 3 others in line behind him within a few hours. Tells me my asking price was fair if not low. Sold for $700 without the trolling motor.
