I picked up a few boxes last summer and was holding a box for a guy but lost touch with him. 1 unopened box of 100 $60 Located in Queen Creek (home) or Tempe (office). Thanks

That's true but the question is are they shedable?Of course they are. They are a hard antler, so they are dead and will be shed, to be replaced with a new set this summer. I wonder if that was a 1.5 year old buck with bad genetics, or a 6 month old button buck? This does bring up a very interesting question though....is a cactus buck a legal deer to shoot? They stay in velvet year round and NEVER shed their antlers again. What does G&F consider "fully erupted from the skin"? Velvet is technically skin, so are early archery season bucks technically illegal deer too? That's a great question. Just hope Shawn Wagner isn't the warden you run into when you shoot that cactus buck. He has a tendency to interpret the rules as he sees fit.

Turkey Hunting and Calling Seminar 4/9 6PM at Mesa Sportsman's
rossislider replied to Little Creek Calls's topic in Turkeys!
Awesome, I want to come to the Mesa one with my son. Please remind us as it gets closer! -
Don't have the binos but I have a Nikon Monarch scope and a Vortex Viper scope of similar size and magnification. The Vortex scope wins hands down in every way I have compared the two. I'd also suggest looking at the Vortex Razors over the Kiababs.

rossislider replied to WHT_MTNMAN's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Wow, that its a fantastic buck in my buck. Congratulations! I'd love to do a Mexico hunt like this some day but wouldn't know where to begin. -
Looks like they have another sale starting tomorrow morning (10/21) at 10:00 AM. Hoping for some good hiking boots this time around.

Just wanted to post a reminder about the Danner factory Outlet sale that starts in an hour (Jan 08, 10:00 AM MST 1/08). There are usually some smoking good deals. You have to create a free sign in account to access the sale (See link below). They usually only offer a few different styles each sale. I'm hoping for pronghorns this time around. http://www.hitthebreakroom.com/invite/?r=237537

Many of you are probably aware of the lawsuit that POS Jesse Ventura file against Chris Kyle's estate and widow, Taya, after Chris died. For those of you who are not, in his book Chris references a former soldier who was bad mouthing current SEALs and soldiers in a bar, and vocally suggested his desire that more of our soldiers needed to die. Needless to say, Chris and his buddies took care of this loser. Some time after the book came out Chris was asked in an interview who this man was. Chis told the interviewer it was Jesse Ventura. This past year Ventura was awarded in the neighborhood of two million dollars for "slander" from the Kyle estate. Shortly after, the clothing company Forged, a company founded by fellow Seals, began a campaign selling "The Legend" t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. The proceeds go to help out Taya and Chris's children offset some of the costs of this lawsuit. This campaign was very successful. With the release of the movie, Forged has expanded the campaign with a much larger line of clothing. The proceeds will now go to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. If any of you want another way to support this hero and what he stood for, I encourage you to check out the link I will add below.

I have a Bass Pro gift card with a balance on it of $432.17. I'm willing to sell it for $390 (approximately 90% of the balance). I'm looking to buy a rangefinder they do not carry. I'm willing to meet at Bass Pro in Mesa to verify the balance. Thanks

See the movie, but read the book. I'm sure the movie won't or can't do the man justice.

Like others have said, best bet is any early rifle hunt. The only guaranteed way for him to not draw would be for him to use my name and ID on his application. GUARANTEED NO DRAW FOR SURE!!!

When it all comes together........
rossislider replied to WildHeritageTaxidermy's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Congrats! My wife had a unit 23 December tag and our hunted sounded like yours. Saw about every conceivable animal but whitetails. This makes me feel a little better.- 25 replies

I wouldn't waste my points on anything that will still be available on the 3rd/4th choice pass. Just my opinion.

I have a Nikon Riflehunter 1000, but have been a little disappointed as ranging anything past 500 yards can be very hit and miss. Any suggestions on something that can consistently get to 800 yards and beyond without breaking the bank? What about the Vortex Ranger 1000. Anyone have this who knows its realistic ranging abilities?

I use to use a Vortex adapter until i tried my buddy's set up and LOVED it. He uses a tripod adapter from Outdoorsmans. It is a little pricey for an adapter but it is awesome! http://outdoorsmans.com/product/outdoorsmans-binocular-adapter/

Dang, not what I was looking for this time around. Maybe next time.
