    Using a heater in tent...

I had the same question a couple of years ago and did a lot of research. What I came up with is that most traditional tents are made of material that are porous enough to allow the tent to vent without issue, but a small vent in the window or door isn't a bad idea. I have friends who run theirs all night on low for some of the really cold hunts without a problem. They just buy the extender hose and hook it up to a big 5 gallon bottle that sits outside the tent.

3a tag and now a little regret.

All this is why the wife and I are going to Wyoming in October. We both drew with zero points.

    That awesome, I'm super jealous!

    3 months of watching Coues

Yep, me too. Three days from 4:00 AM to about 7:30 PM in a blind. My 120" buck I had been waiting on showed up about 6:45 PM at last light on my last day. He came into 25 yards......... and I missed. My biggest hunting hall of shame moment of my life to date.

    Ross Archery

Totally agree. Ross Outdoors is a great shop with people who not only know their business but are friendly and helpful. They make you want to come back and spend your money. Archery HQ was the exact opposite. Nothing but standoffish attitude on the phone and they treated my son who was brand new to the sport and looking for guidance and advice, like sh!t. If they don't agree with your equipment choices they're gonna do their best to make you feel like an idiot for choosing what you did and that's 100% NOT what a new archer needs to hear or feel. They're a headquarters alright, for arrogance and asshattery. Since I made my original post above, I was reached out to a by a member on here who I believe is the current manager at Archery HQ. I've never gone into detail or shared with anyone, other than my wife who was involved, why we had such a terrible experience with Archery HQ. However, this Archery HQ employee PMed me to ask about my experience. I believe he has been working to make the situation right and respect his gesture a great deal. I hope and believe that it is not a one-off and unique to this employee, but a change in attitude for the company. While I won't go as far as to say that they have won back my business, I will be open minded and encourage you to let management know about your experience.

  12. I like those boots wish they were in my size (11.5) Glad you were able to find some! I picked up some of those in the Rough-Out version (same boot, different color). I bought some of them for my wife and son several months ago. They love them but they weren't in my size that time around.

    Got My Son's Buck Back

Got my son's first buck back from my friend Will at Two Windy Taxidermy in Show Low. Super happy with how it turned out! He's going to be a happy kid when he gets home from school in a few hours!

    Thanks for the clarification.
  21. You can use natural salt licks in AZ, but that's about it. I noticed the Walmart in Tempe next to Bass Pro with a big pallet of deer attractant corn yesterday. I'm assuming the person in charge of ordering for this particular Walmart isn't familiar with the local laws, or a lot of people may still be baiting? Make sure you know the laws before you go out so you don't get yourself in trouble!

I think they are planning on the majority of people taking quite a few years to draw these tags. I'm sure they calculated draw odds vs cost when coming up with this plan. Even if they do make a little less, they will have regular income throughout the year, year after year. Wouldn't be surprised to see more outfitters do something like this.
