Selling my New Eberlestock J107 Dragonfly. Mossy Oak Brush pattern. Never used perfect condition with all tags still attached. I took it out of the original plastic bag to take this picture and put it back in the plastic. Asking $350. No trades. -

I tried, but the store won't return for cash without the receipt and we didn't keep the receipt because I was planning to keep it. Oh well. Thank for the suggestion. -
Nice job! My kids are spoiled and I can't get them out of the truck once the weather gets cold. I end up fishing by myself while they watch movies in the truck... on second thought maybe that's not such a bad deal...

Hope not. Cabelas is so much better.

I filled my tag, and a LOT quicker than expected! Notice I hadn't had a chance to get into camo yet. Just got into the area and we (my wife and I) were sighting in the rifles to start hunting tomorrow morning. Headed back to camp and glassed this guy on a ridge about 1000 yards out. I noticed that if I went a few hundred yards to the right I could put the one tree in the area (the tree in the background of the picture) between us and stalk in closer. I got almost to the tree when he looked my way and stood up. I hit the ground and crawled a few more yards to a downed tree. There was about a 9 inch gap between the trunk and ground that gave me a perfect view, cover, and shot. The buck was still staring my way standing straight on. I ranged him at 242 yards and put a round in his chest. He ran about 20 yards before doing a forward somersault and dropped. Not my ideal shot (head on) but, zero meat loss and his insides were destroyed. Now for the wife's turn tomorrow!

^^^Been there done that! I now have the 10x42s and the 12x50s. Works well as a second set for my wife or son.
-
Agreed, I love my 12x50s. The 10x50 are great optics though. Wouldn't be surprised if you do find someone. You could also probably sell them and kick in a small amount to get the 12x50s.

LOL, yes it did. I have a 2200 and love it as a large day pack. My wife got me the Dragonfly as a multi day pack. I love the rifle/tripod scabbard that Eberlestock has on most of their packs. It was just to hard to resist the Icon 7200 for the overnighters. I'll just have to live without the scabbard. -

That was sarcasm. I got mine from my wife for our anniversary on October 16th. I appreciate you crapping on my sale. If someone has a time machine and wants to go back in time, apparently you can get one of these, LAST WEEK, on sale. Otherwise this one is $350. -

Curse you DesertBull! Just ordered a new pack. My NEW with tags on Eberlestock Dragonfly will be posted for sale soon!

You are killing me! This has me thinking about selling my Eberlestock Dragonfly. Can I get some input on these packs. Not much info on there on pockets compartments, etc. Since I have a Badlands 2220, which I love as a smaller daypack that does a good job as a meat hauler. I'd like to get something bigger. Anyone have any thoughts on the Kuiu 3200 vs 5200 vs 7200?
-
I have the Badlans 2200 and superday packs. Both excellent packs! With 3 hunters in the family now, this wouldn't be a bad addition. Just can't pull the trigger with the holidays coming up. Great deal for someone!

You can also see it on Jay Scott's Instagram page.

The deadline to update credit cards for deer was July 9th. Got my credit card hit July 10th at around 7:00 AM. Should be soon...

I sold one a few years ago and had better luck selling it to a bird watcher on craigslist.

I recently went through the AT&T vs Verizon debate before renewing with Verizon a month ago. Glad I did. I ended up using my cell phone a lot on my 3C mule deer hunt and had great reception throughout the unit. Might not have been able to do that with AT&T. I've also had great reception with Verizon when hunting in 23.

Just a couple of thoughts for you: I picked up a 7mm Mag this spring and have been on the fence about doing a muzzle brake. I used it on my mule deer hunt a few weeks ago and at the range leading up to the hunt. The recoil really doesn't bother me, but I'm 6'4" 220 lbs. I have a brake on my 300 RUM and my 11 year old shoots that with no hesitation or fear, so if I do end up putting a brake on i the 7mm, it will be for my kids or my wife. However, when hunting, we definitely have to make sure to all get our ear protection on when the 300 RUM with brake comes out. Ear protection wasn't nearly as big of a deal with the 7mm mag without the brake. Not a bad idea, but not nearly as necessary for hunting applications. My suggestion, try the 7mm mag without a brake. If the recoil doesn't bother you too much, or others that may be shooting the rifle, go without. I did put a limbsaver pad on the 7mm mag and that helps A LOT. http://www.amazon.com/LimbSaver-Classic-Precision-Fit-Recoil-Ruger/dp/B008CXLXZI

If you want a high quality leather belt check out the following company: http://www.orionleathercompany.com/ They make just about every type of leather belt imaginable here in the U.S. They will also custom make one for you if needed. Very reasonable prices for high quality American made belts. I have a couple of belts from them and they are the best ones I own. I recently picked up this one and love the rustic feel and color: http://www.orionleathercompany.com/Men-s-1-1-2-rustic-work-belt-p/40mmhhdtnplain999govblksnp.htm I used the coupon code "FirsttimeOLC" to save $10 on my first order. I believe it still works.
