DEERSLAM replied to azcouesandelk's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Christian, I have the Kifaru Longhunter and love it but if I not packin in for a week or more my Eberlestock J1 gets the job done and then some. The J1 is the best all around pack I have ever owned. -
Badlands and Kifaru are both great choices, I have both brands, but don't over look the Eberlestock Just One. It's my new favorite.

Doug you're right. They jumped on BHD pretty bad over there on MM and for no good reason in my mind. One of the reasons I come here alot more than MM.
-
Is that the same buck that has been posted on MM? His color is amazing and that rack is pretty dang good also.

Got Coues? Here she is...130 inch coues!!!(3x6)
DEERSLAM replied to Houston Hinton's topic in Shed Hunting
But those 3 stickers are all an inch or more, aren't those considered points? Technically, yes. Probably better referred to as a 3x3 with eyeguards with 3 small kickers. Again, one heck of a buck no matter what you want to call it. Big is Big! -

How do you prevent lense fogging on bino's
DEERSLAM replied to royerj1's topic in Optics and tripods
I use Parker's Perfect on my Swaros. Just a drop on each lense then a quick wipe with a lense cloth. I do this every morning before I start glassing. It's worked great for me. Oh and by the way before I put anything on my lenses I call Swarovski first. Parker's Perfect was recommended by their techs. -
Great job and congrats. That's a heck of an accomplishment by yourself

Potential relocation areas
DEERSLAM replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Scottyboy, I've hunted up around Shelby. My son and I would see BP everyday. I hunted a ranch leased by a friend of mine. Lots of private land around them parts I believe but we had no problem getting permission to hunt on other ranchs. They've got some big whitetail, some nice antelope and some big muleys and elk in the West Buttes area. Again all private. People around there are very friendly, down to earth and always willing to help. As far as bird huntin, I have'nt a clue. PS. I do know one thing it gets pretty dang cold in them neck of the woods
