Kind of a mystery at the moment. Word is zone X1 in northeastern part of state.

Awesome pics Amanda. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope to get back up to AK sometime in the near future, it's an amazing place.

Christian, Congrats to you and your father on a hunt you will both always remember Looks like you got some good use outta that Eberlestock pack. How bout a report. Oh and by the way I'm 45 and I'm still packin out critters for the Old Man and loving every minute of it.

Congrats shaynec on a fine buck. Oh, and welcome to CouesWhitetail.com

I'm with TAM and hunter4life on this one. I don't usually see any road hunters because I hunt as far from roads as possible. Here in CA I usually hunt designated Wilderness areas, horse or foot travel only.

I shoot a 160gr outta my 7mmSTW and it'll do the job just fine. I'd go with what ever bullet your 7 shoots best. Coues are small targets.

What are you feeding them, alittle something from Balco?
-
Pretty good start

Coosefans COOSE video
DEERSLAM replied to COOSEFAN's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Well done Jim. I guess since some of us don't have a tag this year we can just watch your vid over and over -
I only use one knife. It's made by Dave Kauffman, Kauffman Custom Knives from MT. It has worked very well for me.

Scottyboy, I'd give him another year to mature. Maybe if he had more than one dropper.
-
Wow, very impressive. I must agree with the other posts and say they sure look bigger than 118.

Wyoming antelope hunt(all 22 minutes of it)
DEERSLAM replied to fatfootdoc's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
fatfootdoc, Congrats to you and your buddy on two fine goats. Antelope hunts are, in my opinion, the best hunt to take a youngster on. The weather is normally mild, you can usually show the kids lots of goats and you don't have to hike too much. My son was with me when I took a goat in MT a couple of years ago when he was 9. He had a blast. -
My good friend Arnold shot this buck last week in Nev. Let the games begin http://www.monstermuleys.info/dcforum/DCForumID6/12955.html

Here's a pic of a Columbian blktail cactus buck that a friend of mine got on his trailcam the other day. I told him to pass on this buck for a year or two to see how big he can get.

I have a bunch of trophy muley mount photos taken from around the west to post for your enjoyment. If I receive positive response to this post, I'll do it. Hey CHD, welcome back. How bout posting them muley pics and lets get back to huntin. Pics of muleys on a whitetail site, that should cause enough distraction that we can get back to the religion we all share- HUNTING!

Nice to have friends like that Very nice additions to your collection.

Great pickups Christian! I'd say the 4th one is a muley. As far as the last one, don't know. Maybe a cross. Small eyeguard and not much mass for that big a coues shed. Sure is shaped like a whitey though.
