DEERSLAM replied to matthewp45's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Guided an archery bear hunt here in CA the last four days. Saw 7 bear and put my hunter on a 400lb blonde color phase boar which at 31yds he shot over it's back. Oh well. I'll post pics of the hunt later. -
Nice "PICKUP" COOSEFAN. Be sure to post some pics of the mount when it's done.

Great to have the forum back up and running. One thing that I have noticed is that when I click on "view new posts" it goes to the first post in the thread instead of the newest post.

What do you think?
DEERSLAM replied to DesertBull's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Quite an interesting little drama. I started following the tale when BigHungDog started the first thread. He writes pretty well and has a great sense of humor. Just don't believe it is the same guy your thinking about. -
I believe Ernesto is correct. I first saw them pics a year or two ago.

Texas hog hunters vs. Cali hog hunters!!
DEERSLAM replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
That's a heck of a huntin rig. Wackem and stackem. They could've left out the pigglet hanging from the old boys mouth though. Them dang Cali hunters, what a bunch of boneheads -
90 or not, what an awesome animal! I've hunted goats a few times and have never seen anything close to this guy. Hope you can keep tabs on him. If someone is lucky enough to tag him it should be pretty easy to identify him.

I use an angled spotter. It's takes alittle getting used to but I think they are more versatile. I can use a shorter tripod and there is less neck strain, especially if you're glassing uphill.
