I have a 20 year old mare that I need to find a new home for. She is a finished head horse and has been hauled most of her life to college and pro rodeos as well as world series roping's recently ( I rode her in Vegas at the Finale last December). She is a little nutty and must be aced to rope on her. I really don't want to give her to someone who ropes. Unless its a high school rodeo kid that needs head horse. Even then they must be an excellent roper and have phenomenal horsemanship skills to be able to handle her. She is super fast and can really move. She cant be ridden out of an arena too crazy. Id rather see her go to a home as a pasture ornament or to a therapy ranch where she would just get led around with special kids on her back. She is sound. Never been breed, although if she passes a vet check she would make a good brood mare and someone could get some awesome foals out of her. Short and stout. She is papered and bread well Sony Deck on the top side and out of a nice working cow mare. Call me if you are interested and we can chat (602) 292-9264. I'll try and post pictures and papers tonight or tomorrow. Thanks JS

Bought these boots on line. Don't fit me just right. Men's size 8 wide. They are steel toe and retail for $180. First $100 takes them.

I figured if I could give a local hunter a smoken deal and get my $$ back I would try and hook someone up. I'll probably send them back today if no one wants them. I'm In Tempe today if someone wants to try them on.

I have been getting a little discouraged the past few times I have been out scouting. This is my first time drawing a rifle tag in 22 (end of October hunt), I have been scouting some spots that I have found deer in the past mostly in the winter. I'm no stranger to 22, spent more time in this unit than any other. I'm not going to be too specific about where I am looking other than its 22 south. Looking in deep canyons and open country high and low. The last few weeks I haven't been able to locate hardly any deer. I'm using practical methods glassing at dawn dusk and throughout the day with 15's on a tripod. Are the deer in some type of super elusive mode this time of year? I know there are deer where I am looking cuz I'm finding fresh sign. Has anyone else found this to be the case the past few weeks? Am I overthinking this right now? Think the deer movement will be more active towards the end of October? Also I have noticed in one particular area that I have seen a lot of lion sign, I actually glassed on up last December in there. I'm thinking we have a huge lion problem. What do you guys think?

Not the NFR, World Series and yes was not one of the lucky winners.

I haven't really been roping at all this year and I'm tired of seeing her just stand there eat and poop. I have another horse that I can rope on if I get the bug again. It will be tough to see her go since I have owned her most of her life. Its either let someone have her that can get some joy out of her or feed her until she dies.

Looks like you had a good camp!

Very nice! Thanks for sharing!

Nice Bull! Like to see some other angles. That cheater by its 4th on the left looks crazy or is the picture deceiving? Lots of nice bulls being taken this season already. Thanks for sharing.

Good topic and debate. Sounds like the crew worked as hard as they could to respect the hunt and meat! As for having to let an animal be overnight it does happen and I don't think its such a bad thing in the right situation. As long as the weather is right I don't see it any different than someone who tracks a wounded animal for 10 + hours. I'd rather let one expire than possibly pushing a wounded animal or crossing a nasty canyon in the dark. Last fall on my late bull hunt I shot my bull up a nasty canyon right at dark. Hiked three miles out the bottom of the drainage in the dark back to the truck. Then went back in the different side of the canyon at daylight, got to the spot by 8 am found my bull less than 50 yards from where I shot him. Had him broke down and hanging in a tree by 9 am. All the meat was fine. It did take 8 back pack loads and two days to get him out though. I don't really see where my bull was how I could have done it any other way.

Thanks Everyone! He found a pack. Someone jump on that offer "So I Hunt" threw out!

Posting this for a friend. He is looking for better pack than his high end Wal-Mart sack that he has been lugging around for the past two years! Choices would be one of the following. Outdoorsmans Eberlestock Badlands Kuiu Tenzing Pack big enough to haul an elk quarter with a rifle scabbard and a frame are a must! Let us know what you got. Post, Call or Text Pat 602.763.8929 Jason 602.292.9264 Thanks JS

If you like the ball head style check out the Vortex Ridge View. If you are looking for one a little lighter I'd go with a Slik. Remember the lighter you go the less stable they tend to be in the wind. One feature I always consider is how wide the legs will spread apart! JS

Do those just one packs have a frame support system built in?

YOU SHOULD BE PROUD!
