Does anyone in the east or central valley have an extra Outdoorsmans Adapter they will be willing to part with for a little less than retail? While out scouting / bear hunting last weekend my awesome clip on my tripod came loose and I lost my brand new adapter. ........Looking to replace it. Jason 602.292.9264

I've snake broke a few heelers. Take a dead snake and throw it on the ground.......when the pup goes to sniff the snake.......scare the living crap out of the dog.........get after them as if they are doing something terrible......smack a stick on the ground right in front of them......they will learn that the smell and or noise of the rattle is a bad thing. Worked for me! Good Luck!

Well, I finally drew an elk tag! Only put in for Unit 1 early rifle bull, had 2 points so I'm 100% positive I drew that tag! The only time I have been up there was trout fishing a few times. I don't really have time to do any scouting as I'm using most of my vacation going to Country Thunder and Probably a trip to Rocky Point. Planning on using my brothers 30-06. If there is anyone who knows this unit or where a newbie might go on opening morning please send me a PM!

No fun around here! I'll probably hire a guide possibly 2! I hate Country Thunder BTW! The only good thing that comes out of Country Thunder is the battle of the Boob Jobs!
-
Man I sure hope I cetch one! Thanks for all the suggestions LoL.........I actually drew a late bull tag or a cow tag in a mid tier unit!!!! Can't wait till the fall!

Well after a lot of time and thought I ended up buying Swarovski 15X56 SLC (NON HD). Thanks for all the input! My friend just bought the Razor 15's so I'll do comparison and a write up after we go on a few hunts and compare. Thx JS

Lets beat this dead horse some more!!!! I'm looking at different glass options for 2017. I am currently using the Vortex Viper 15x50 HD's and sometimes 10x42 Nikon Monarch's for archery hunts. I'm going to sell the Vipers add some $$ to the fund and get either some used 15x56 Swaro SLC's or 12x50's Razors. I'm not a big fan of spotters and I plan on keeping my Nikon 10x42 to wear around my neck sometimes (depending on the terrain and the hunt). What would be your choice and why? Has anyone had both or compared both side by side in the field?

I have the Icon 7200 and absolutely love it! I havn't found a backpack that is completely perfect but this one is pretty darn close. Pros: Rides really nice, and feels ridged on back Can be compressed like a daypack or expanded to haul a full backpack camp and a boned out Coues Lots of pockets inside and out to organize gear Cons: Pulls on zippers could be a little stouter Rainfly should be included as part of the pack Bottom side pockets should be made out of tougher material (possibly the same as bottom)
