Hey I know that guy! I went to school with his son Daniel in Sedona,and Gail was our little league coach. Looks like he is doing well. Man, he has some nice coues bucks on the wall!

I put in for 12a first choice. Last year was a zoo with all the people so I am hoping the permit system makes for a better hunt.

Take the arizona hunter safety course, and you get a extra bonus point called hunter safety point. You can take an online course then go to the field day to finish. Go to azgfd.com and it has all the info.

I was finally able to get my certificate printed. I have been trying to reach the safety course adminisrtation for two weeks now and cant get a return phone call. I am trying to register for the field day for may 17 at ben avery.Is there anyone else that I might be able to contact? Thanks

I just passed the online hunter safety course and went to print out the certificate and my printer is out of ink. Any ideas who to contact to get the certificate?

I am shooting a ross cardiac 70 lbs 28" draw 5575 goldtip arrows with 2" blazer vanes, 100 grain muzzy 4 blade broadheads, trophy ridge dropzone rest and top gun 5 pin sight. This bow shoots great and is easy to tune. The total arrow wieght is around 370 grains.

Just heard that by the end of the year gas will be $6.00 a gallon. Some gas stations will be advertising gas prices by half gallons instead of gallons. I guess they think it wont look so bad to see $3.00 a half gallon instead of $6.00 a gallon! If this happens it is going to run alot of folks into the ground.

I too tire of reading about eastern deer hunting srategies and have alway thought a mag about arizona hunting would be great. Cant wait to try it out!

My buddy and me will also be putting in for kaibab archery first choice. He lives in marble canyon, and spends alot of time on the kaibab so hopefully we draw and he has some bucks located before the hunt!

I hunt on foot , but you cant help but see all the hunters driving the roads. And if you dont see them, you hear them on every ridge with a road on it. I agree that taking archery opportunity away and adding rifle tags will do nothing for the deer herds. But as a bowhunter I am glad to see less people during bow season on the kaibab. I hope I draw up there this year so I can see the difference that 1500 less hunters will make. It might even be possible to find a tank without two or three tree stands on it

I also think it is a good idea. I have been hunting archery on the kaibab the last few years, and it was over run with people road hunting. I bet alot of people will put kaibab archery as second choice after rifle first. It will be a better hunt with half the number of hunters up there.

So they can issue more permit$, and harvest less game. Welcome to the new g&f management plan were quantity is more important than quality.

Looks like I will have to spend another 15 bucks and retake the test. Waited another week, and no call back. Lesson learned!(and yes, I have printer ink now)

Dang is right, I didnt get any response from the hunter safety course people. Guess they got my money. No reason I shouldnt be able to get my certificate and do the field day. I do thank you Grizzy for the number, and who knows, maybe they will call sometime and help out.
