Road hunter helped me out today. I spotted some deer and moved into about 250 yards. A doe had me pinned and decided to bed down for a staredown. After about 30 minutes of hanging out and taking it easy, dude in a ranger cruises within 100 yards of these deer including a 4x4 mulie and never even stops. The doe stood up and took her eyes off me. I was able to get hidden while she was distracted... The ranger drove back by again and still didn't see these deer... I did a mile loop to drop down on the deer but shifty wind got me busted and the buck trotted off. Wouldn't have been possible without road hunters... I didn't know that road was there to be honest, I was at least 2 miles from truck. It is what is...

Definitely. I've just put it off bc it hasn't been a problem, but I'm heading to Cabellas today to use my giftcard I got for waiting outside on Black Friday. Just means I still get to hunt for the rest of year now!

I was archery hunting on the first day of the new year. I was hiking around one of my favorite hills just before light and came around a juniper to see nice 4x4 buck walking at about 60 years right towards me with his head down. As I leaned back behind my tree and reached for my range finder while simultaneously taking out an arrow, I fumbled my range finder onto the rocks at my feet creating the loudest possible noise a range finder could ever muster. Needless to say, the buck was long gone. After throwing up in my mouth, I recovered and tried to laugh it off... Rough way to start the year.
