    Bored out of my skull....

Well I have the hunting fever bad and I wasnt able to put in for any hunts this year (Thank god for quail season coming up!)...anyways I was on a phone call today and got put on hold for about 30 min. I started scribbling on a piece of scratch paper and this is what came out...though maybe a few of you would enjoy... Shaun

    Budget Binos's ?

I pretty much have to go off of your guys recommendations because i dont have a good sporting goods store within 2-3 hours of me so I'll be ordering off the internet (I wont be able to look through them before buying). I do understand the importance of quality optics and i know i will eventually save the money and buy quality glass but i dont want to take my self out of the game by choosing to bypass the lower end optic to save for the nice binos... Reading reviews online and adding the input here on CWT.com so far I'm leaning towards the Vortex Diamondbacks...Thank you for the info guys Shaun

    Budget Binos's ?

I'm trying to get myself geared up to get out hunting and I don't have 1000+ $$$ to spend on optics. I'm looking at spending more like $200 for right now...Is there a bino you would recommend in my price range just to get me by until I can buy some high end glass? Thanks Shaun

Loaded for bear! ....uh....or Taliban!...4 day packing list Average packing list, 600 rounds of 7.62 link (308), PAS-13 (big bulky thermal imaging sight + extra batteries), Spare barrel for the machine gun (240 B ), Tripod for the gun, spare socks, something to keep me warm at night while in the mountains, rain gear and pancho, 8-10 16 oz bottles of water, 4 or 5 field stripped MRE's...I would sometimes throw a bag of beef jerky in there...My average ruck sack weighed right around 95-100 lbs also had 30+ pounds of body armor and my M4 (+ a couple hundred 5.56 rounds) I hope to get out and do some back country spike camping to ambush enemy Coues Deer next season...hopefully my packing list is a little lighter LOL

just remember that pounds = pain....those items that you think will be comfortable to have in camp will cause discomfort while you hike...

lions without a dog...can it be done?

    Thank you for the help!
  12. Dove Burritos/tacos in the crock pot... Start with a base of beef flavor "better that bullion", 2 cans of diced green chili's, about a half an onion (diced), a little fresh cilantro and how ever many dove breasts you need/want for a meal (season to your liking)...put it all in the crock pot on low before you head to work... When you get home strain the dove breasts leaving the chilis, onion and cilantro...Shred the dove with forks (much like pulled pork) and mix with your chili and onion. Serve on a flower tortilla with sour cream and salsa (or what ever fixins you prefer...can also substitute the flower tortillas for tostata shells or taco shells.)
