The price just dropped on them because they are releasing a new version in 2014. We are now selling them for $1699 brand new, however, after the rental season we will have some for less.

We wanted to wish everyone on CW good luck on this early archery season. We hope that all of the hard work, preperation, and dollars spent will result in some awesome trophy animals, and great experiences with friends and family. Be safe and have fun! Sincerely, The Ross Outdoors Team

Hello CW, I am currently the Secretary for the Mule Deer Foundation Phoenix Chapter, our first annual banquet is being held on May 18th at the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. We need your help to make this banquet a success. The purpose of the Mule Deer Foundation is to ensure the conservation of mule deer, black-tailed deer and their habitat. MDF is dedicated to the following goals: To restore, improve and protect mule deer habitat (including land and easement acquisitions) resulting in self-sustaining, healthy, free ranging and huntable deer populations. To encourage and support responsible wildlife management with government agencies, private organizations and landowners. To promote public education and scientific research related to mule deer and wildlife management. To support and encourage responsible and ethical behavior and awareness of issues among those whose actions affect mule deer. To support regulated hunting as a viable component of mule deer and black-tailed deer conservation. To develop programs that focus on recruitment and retention of youth into the shooting sports and conservation. Although this is a website dedicated to Coues Deer, the projects that we undertake benefit Antelope, Coues/Mule Deer, as well as Elk. We recently completed a fence project in Unit 21 off of Dugas road. Click the link to see pictures of this event: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.454547187959858.1073741825.366535600094351&type=1 The banquet will feature: dinner, raffles, live auction, and many other games. We need your help to preserve the animals we love to hunt for generations to come! You can purchase tickets online at http://www.muledeer.org/node/2087 . There is a 6% fee for purchasing online, if you would like to save the 6% I can meet you somewhere with the physical tickets. I live in central Phoenix and I get off of work at 6pm. I am flexible so just call or text me during the day and we can set up a place to meet. I am also in the store 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri. if you would like to come in and purchase them there. Please contact me if you have any questions about the banquet or the MDF in general. Thank you very much for your support! Josiah Richards Cell: 602 908 2757 Email: Josiah@RossOutdoors.com

Ross was able to tag out on the last night of his San Carlos bear hunt this past Saturday. After hunting four days straight without seeing a bear, Ross hiked into a patch of prickly pear about 2.5 miles off the road and began to glass. Ross spotted the bear at about 800 yards at 5pm, it took him an hour to stalk in on the bear and he ended up getting to wtihin about 80 yards of him. With one shot from his 7mm the boar was on the ground, his hard work paid off and he is happy to have a freezer full of bear meat.

2012 Bears in the Pears Video
Ross Outdoors replied to JACK's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Awesome bears and awesome footage, great job guys! -
Looks like a big old bear! Congrats!
-
Great bear and a very cool story!
-
Thanks for the positive feedback, I uploaded another picture that shows the head better. We measured him right around a 20" skull, his face was really scarred up, he had a lot of character. Congrats on your awesome archery bear wtlathen, I'm hoping to get one with a bow one of these days. Trophyhnter, San Carlos G&F doesn't take samples, they just require that you fill out a hunter questionarre and send them a picture of the bear. -Josiah

Was happy to tag out on my San Carlos bear hunt, very hot hunt but ended up getting him in the low desert. 300 yard shot with the 7mm put him down, very old bear, skinny, but had a huge head and paws. Happy Hunting Josiah

Suggestions for new Bow String?
Ross Outdoors replied to ready2hunt's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
We recommend America's Best, they are custom made by the Amish and are guaranteed now to stretch/twist for one year. They come standard on the PSE Pro Series bows and custom colors are available. -
The Heartbreaker only comes with the RTK package, similar to the Assassin. Very nice woman's bow, we have sold a few and all the women were very happy. It was getting very good speed. The Stiletto is an option from PSE, however, the bare bow costs about the same as the entire Heartbreaker package. The Jewel is an awesome bow for women, however, it is indeed very expensive. The Mission Craze by Mathews is an awesome bow at a great price as recommended by TALKW68, the bow will literally fit almost anyone. 15-70# and 19-30" draw, a great bow that can be passed down from generation to generation and no press required. I recommend having her try a few so she can see what feels the best. Hope this helps! Josiah
-
Very nice bow, however, I feel like the Bowtech Assassin is hard to beat for the money. They are both rated right around 330, however you are paying $600 for the madness bare bow, the assassin is $640 for everything: Apex Sight, Quiver, Stabilizer, and Hostage rest. Assassin is a little lighter as well, my 2 cents. Hope this helps! Josiah
