I never saw a deer or a coyote... that thing sure looks like a bobcat to me .

My first thought was of that idiot that used a 12 gauge to bring one down a few years ago, problem was he brought it down on top of himself. Hope this guy turns out ok. You don't expect that kind of problem when you report to work in the morning.

Ten or eleven years ago I was hunting Javi's in January down by Canelo when i spotted a group on the hillside about 400 yds. away. I Snuck up to about 20 yds below a big boar and drew back when I noticed a small branch about 3/4'' hanging down across his vital area. Well knowing that I can't anything that small I went ahead and released the arrow, Of course it hit the branch, deflected under the hog, hitting the ground . This caused the fletched end to snap up and hit him in the belly, which in turn caused the pig to jump about four feet in the air, squeeling like mad, with all four legs spinning like some kind of cartoon. When he hit the ground he was doing about fourty MPH and didn't stop till he was about a half mile away. I just laid on the ground and laughed till I cried. He was the biggest boar I've ever seen.

Ok, I'll admit it, I'm an idiot, but I can;t for the life of me figure out how to change my password. I had to get a new one and it about 47 numbers andhalf a dozen letters that I can't even copy down right let alone remember. I need to change it to something I can remember. HELP.

Well I guess sometime in the last week my bow walked out of the house, so after I put new locks on everything I need to buy a new bow. My old PSE was 15 yrs years old and I'm asking for suggestions for a replacement. Looking for something mid range (400 - 600). I need it for the Sept. bull hunt. Lets hear what you got or would get now, or what to stay away from.Thanks.

Thanks to Jimmyc, I went to the PSE proshop and bought a new 2012 Brute fully loaded and a new release for well under 500. Thanks for all the input. Now I just need to do my part and find the big bull that got away last time.

I've been using the 300wsm for the last few years. I love it. I only shoot Federal Fusion 165gr. I have never had an animal take one step, even beyond 300 yards.I'll never shoot anything else. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love the rifle.

Winchester mod. 70 300 wsm. Never got to use it for Elk. Gonna have to use the old PSE thunderbolt 65# 29" draw again. Maybe I'll get it done this year.

I got drawn for hunt 3126, but I can't find what that is. Any help?

The web site is down and the phone lines are busy. Our tax dollars at work.

Already got it,... A bike to try to get these old legs in shape to get back up there where the big ones live.

About 20 years ago a friend and I were hunting cottontails in the cactus patches along the tracks east of Tucson when an East bound train roars by. Two or three miles down the road we find two cows and a calf that had been hit by the train. The best we could figure was that the train hit one cow and knocked it into the other cow and the calf. All three were dead but only one showed any trauma.

That's not that far of a walk from Oracle. I've never seen a coues there, but... a buck will walk a long ways after a doe.

New Legislation to allow Suppressor Hunting in AZ
POB replied to coues7's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I just think it is impractical for big game hunting. Varmints, coyotes.and the like, sure, but I don't think I want to be in the field for Deer or Elk with a bunch clown with suppressed high power rifles. Sorry but I'm against it. Ultimatly YOU are responsible for your hearing, muffs, and plugs should ALWAYS be worn at the range, and there are high dollar units that can be worn when hunting. -

Ok, good point about the hearing. My ears are gone (long ago). Still most shooting is done on the range, hunting involves (hopefully) only one or two shots. I just think they're opening a big can of worms with this. Plus an effective suppesor for a 300 mag would need to be atleast 12 inches long and weigh about 2 lbs or more. I'll pass. -

Whats next? Claymores hooked to trail cameras and 155 howitzers for those long rang shots on those pesky coues? At 3000 FPS my bullet should kill the deer before the sound of the shot ever gets there. I don't feel a hunter needs it, a poacher sure. -
Iseem to remember when I was in Boy Scouts that we were taught those were trail markers or some such thing. Hope some troop of scouts don't get lost because you don't like the look of them.

My first archery coues (long read) added live pics

It never fails, you couldn't hit that branch if your life depended on (at least I couldn't). But just try to miss it and you will hit it every time. -
I love my Doctor 15x60's. but they are not easy to find.

So my wife says I can kill a buffalo, but since I'm 61 with no points my question is where can I find a out of state hunt that isn't a pasture shoot? Any ideas? Thanks.

I'd have to say calling a big 6x6 bull into 40 yards at last light during the early bow hunt, and seeing the look on my sons face. I never got a shot because of the darkness. but still the best day of the season.
