Up for sale is Christensen Arms Ridgeline bedded in a McMillan Game Scout stock chambered in 26 Nosler. 60 rounds down the barrel and will include 260(ish) pieces of brass 200 of which are new Nosler brass. Rifle has a 3 port brake installed, all work done by Owens Armory. Don’t have the time to put into a long range set up right now so I’m getting rid of it. Also Available is a pair of Swarovski 12x50 ELs (old body) with the Outdoorsmans stud installed Binos have only been used a couple times. Got lucky and won a new pair from a raffle. Asking 1600 for the Ridgeline and 2200 for the ELs.

10mm for grizzly bear defense
DipCope replied to bojangles's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
I worked as a bush pilot all over the state of Alaska and me and most of my friends carried Glock 20s in a chest rig. I’d also keep a short barreled Marlin 45-70 in the back of the airplane for around camp or doing bear watch. I’ve had two buddies kill charging brown bears with the 10mm and had positive results. It isn’t as much power as a 44 but you have twice the ammunition, accuracy, and half the weight which makes it worth it to me. Many make a mistake of rolling up with a 2in barrel cannon that kicks so dang bad you might get luck with hitting a bear. Reality is you’ve got a slim chance with ANY handgun because a 30-30 out of a lever rifle with standard loads has more energy than the hottest 44 mag round in a 4 or 6 inch barrel revolver. -
Oh man this would be sweet back up in AK!

If you’re willing to shop I’ll take a mitutoyo micrometer!

id be freaked out about a thermal runaway with them strapped to my feet. we all wore bunny boots in AK. nothing beats them but your feet are going to be hot and not really adequate for mobility.

I went with the 12's because I was tired of carrying two sets of binos around. No regrets so far.
